Begun on this 10th November 2006 by the nation of Auriare of ADFGBAN in response to flagrant violations of international law, human rights and the tenets of democracy, as committed by Yaarikas of Old Yaerik.

-----Official Declaration of War Between Auriare and Yaarikas-----
From this day foward, the tenth day of the eleventh month of this Year of Our Lord 2006, let it be known that there exists between the nation of the Most Serene Free Democracy of Auriare (henceforth referred to as 'Auriare') and the nation of the Holy Empire of Yaarikas (henceforth known as 'Yaarikas') a state of war, declared by Auriare in response to Yaarikas' frequent and blatant disregard for the tenets of democracy, in response to the refusal of Yaarikas to join the United Nations despite being quite able to do so, in response to Yaarikas' continued warring with the nation of the Most Glorious Empire of Ilaer and, lastly, in response to the unprecedented growth of Yaarikas' power which, it is felt, could be used, unprovokedly, in a hostile manner against Auriare or her allies.
In summary, for reasons beyond Auriare's control but within that of Yaarikas', the nation of Auriare has declared war against the nation of Yaarikas, and the Parliament of Auriare hereby places every resource, military or economic or otherwise, under the full and total control of the Prime Minister of Auriare under the conditions that he will not abuse them and that he shall use them to pursue victory in the war.

What is done with this value (e.g., 150,000 into the Navy, 430,000 into the Army, 120,000 into the airforce etc.) is up to the player concerned.
Thirdgeek NSEconomy Calculator (http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/nseconomy.php). Allocations of the defense budget to the various services are left to the player. Fifteen million dollars will be added to the budget of each nation in order to ensure that even the most pacifist nations have a budget, if small.
Other statistics are left to the nations concerned.
Nuclear weapons are not to be used in any circumstances. The world is not ready for the threat of nuclear war; as in real life, no nation will risk it.
Technology may not be any more advanced than perhaps ten years ahead of today's. Admittedly this is not measurable, but it should be obvious what is allowed and what is not.
Accounts may be tactical or strategic, concentrating on individuals of any sort, platoons, divisions, corps, armies or even just the general strategic view of things.

This is a matter of honour between Auriare and Yaarikas. Auriare is a very liberal and honourable state in ADFGBAN, protesting against the violation of human rights, international law and democracy committed by Yaarikas, which is led by a very honourable and close friend of mine. This is a war between nations, not people, and thus I would request that no-one else will join in the fighting without invitation from a participating party. You may of course post your opinions and everything, but I would request that you stay out of the fighting.
I would also like to request that, as far as possible, so-called 'leet speak' and 'text message speak' should be avoided. I do this both due to the fact that I find it extremely annoying and also in my official capacity as Minister for Spreading Proper English (New British Imperial Party, General NS forum).
And lastly, good luck to everyone concerned. I look forward to a battle of honour, wits and glory. In advance I thank those men of all the nations involved who will shortly be dead in service of their country and their cause.
May we always remember them, just as we remember those who fell in the Great War of 1914-1918.

EDIT: The nation of Norlaminia has requested to join. Knowing this person I have allowed them in. I am concerned that the Pro-Auriare alliance is beginning to show a CONSIDERABLE majority over the Pro-Yaarikas one. I would appreciate if someone would ask to join the Pro-Yaarikas alliance; it would make for a fairer, cleaner game.
