The Nation of Khalistan

Guru Nanak II

A note to readers-my nation is named Khalistan, I post as Guru Nanak II after the founder of Sikhism, the majority religion of my nation. Am I the first Sikh nation of NS?

Khalistan is led by a Mahajara (Is that how you spell it?). He is a Sikh and worships at the Imperial Gurdwara. It is not uncommon for the Imperial Langar to be held there. Langar is a vegetarian feast for people, look it up on Sikh websites or Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to a Langar, regardless of religion or age or gender or what not (I believe that is for real life Sikhism as well).

Khalistan is a land founded by Indian and Punjabi Sikhs. It has been around for some time and we are open to talks about diplomacy with other lands. Sikhism is the majority religion and the Khalsa forms our flag. We hope that our nation will continue on in the 21st Century.

(I would write more but I'm busy with things)

This film is known as a song about the Sikh faith. Guru Nanak and the succeeding Gurus are well known here, and Guru Nanak (a statue) can be seen at the Imperial Gurdwara.

''O Nanak, if I had hundreds of thousands of stacks of paper, and if I were to read and recite and embrace love for the Lord,
and if ink were never to fail me, and if my pen were able to move like the wind
-even so, I could not estimate Your Value. How can I describe the Greatness of Your Name?'' An excerpt from the Guru Granth Sahib

Homeless people attend langars in cities and town in Khalistan. Khalistan is trying to modernise but keep its heritage alive. Vaisakhi is a national holiday.

Well, they are more than welcome here. Our nation was founded upon Sikhism, though we respect all others. And your nation has a Sikh minority? Do you know of Jainism? Just want to know if these two Indian faiths have any following in NS.

(OOC: I haven't read much on Jainism, no, but I'd like to learn. I'll probably read about it on Wikipedia.)

Jainism was built by Mahavira. It is said to have inspired Mahatma Gandhi. Jainism, I've heard, is compared to Buddhism in some respects. Jainism is a small religion but known in India. I have read on it somewhat, but I've done more into Sikhism, and I've visited a Gurdwara.

If you look on my flag, you'd see the Sikh symbol. Since I am a Sikh majority nation, I used it for my flag.
