The Export Division of the Layartebian Defense Corporation would like to submit its B-9A Sphinx bomber as a proposal. The B-9A Sphinx is a highly advanced bomber with the same radar signature as the B-2 but with more payload, better speed, better avionics, and a much lower cost.

We hope that you will take delivery of this fine bomber. It serves with distinction in many foreign air forces including, but lot limited to: Cotland, North Germania, Doomingsland, Ottoman Khaif, and so on and so fourth. The LDC-ED has already built some 24,018 B-9A Sphinx bombers for foreign export to over a dozen countries.

We at the Space Union Defense Industries would like to submit two contenders for your aerospace contract. They are the two main bombers that we sell: the SuB-4 Super Hurricane and the SuB-5 Sonic. Both exceed your requirements by a large degree and both would meet your requirement. Which one you need depends on your doctrine and air force needs. If you need an ultra-heavy bomber go with the SuB-4 Super Hurricane which can carry a payload over 200,000 kg. If you need an ultra-fast bomber capable of packing an incredible punch, go with the SuB-5 Sonic which cruises at Mach 4. Whichever you choose, we hope to do further business with you and await your response.

Signed,
CEO/Chairman Sim Nam

I like what you've done to the Backfire Aeq. It's a tough plane to get creative with but a nice one...

Thanks, I really liked how it was used in Clancy's Red Storm Rising and I was inspired to have a bomber that could be used in much the same way.

Yeah I use it primarily as an anti-ship bomber as the B-6 Dementor.

Rather than purchase an NS design, why not just tweak an off shelf design, allocate a reasonable amount of your defense budget, and "roll your own" aircraft onto the airfield?

Could take a B-58, tweak its engines (reliability, range) and lower RCS by modifying the airframe.

Best "off shelf" idea:
Nort too sure about the Avro Vulcan, would need to use an up engined Vulcan phase 6. Since the original Vulcs only went 645 mph.
Range on a phase 6 should be around 5,000 miles.
It would also carry the required bomload and then some.

Aside

Hmmm, this plane design seems to kick the stuffings out of the B-52s I already have, and I do need to expan my air force.....

Re: Tu-22 replacement

Dear General Owen Blake,

While the Union of Southeast Asian Nations lacks a relatively potent arms manufacturing industry, we do have good foreign defense contractors that supply our military forces. The Southeast Asian Air Force once used the B-1B Lancer (http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/systems/b-1b.htm) as a low altitude, supersonic strategic bomber and to support the Southeast Asian Army on the ground. However, as part of our modernization program, and in comparison to several foreign military forces in the world, it has been determined that the venerable Lancer is obsolete and is in needing of replacement.

We turned to a fine aircraft corporation, one that goes by the name of Detmerian Aerospace Dynamics, plc (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=380088), a corporation that is based in the United Kingdom of Isselmere-Nieland (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Isselmere-Nieland), a state which we have friendly ties to. The DAS-5 "Angrboda" strategic bomber (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7714795&postcount=7), was nominated and proved most well in the combat trials held. The Southeast Federal Parliament however, is still holding a cautious approach to whether or not it should be adopted, and while I personally dislike to wait, I nevertheless respect the fact that the future battlefield is something that can never realistically be predicted as it is always evolving.

However, I can assure you, having read the reports of the Angrboda's successes in the combat trials, Detmerian Aerospace's DAS-5 shall certainly be a potent strategic bomber for your nation and that it shall serve it well.

Also, should you desire an alternative for a strategic bomber, I would also recommend the OMASC/NDI (Omzian Military Aerospace Corporation/National Defense Industries) (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=278248) group. The B-101A "Bombardier" Supersonic Strategic Bomber (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7367469&postcount=689) is also an excellent strategic bombing aircraft, priding itself more on speed rather than subtlety and stealth like the Angrbodda does. As most of the products of the OMASC/NDI group is highly classified and often restricted, you are in luck: this excellent thing is for sale - export version at least. The non-export version is much more potent, but the export version is good enough that it shall have to do.

I hope you appreciate my offers and I indeed look forward to hearing from you in the future!

Yours Sincerely,
General Jared Ka-Wing Lau
Chief of the Southeast Asian Army
United Sovereign Nations of Southeast Asia
