This book, which is currently accepting new entries for the next edition, is the trusted source of information for countless thousands of Hochen citizens each year, who make their holiday choices on the evidence contained in the book. It's reputation is also growing abroad, with demand for international versions growing steadily.

Nations each have two page spreads devoted to them, the information contained within those pages a mix of information provided by national tourist boards, foreign ministries and reports from our own roving editors. The Hochberg Tourist Board is now appealing to foreign nations to supply entries for the next edition of The Guide.

Resa Rides: Londims biggest theme park. There are over 200 rides including an 80 foot water ride and the main rollercoaster has 15 loops and goes as high as 120 feet. The Democratic Republic of Londim is a small, devout nation, notable for its burgeoning monkey population. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 10 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government is mainly concerned with Education, although Religion & Spirituality and Law & Order are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 25%, but much higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Basket Weaving.

Corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, the monkey is a protected species, and it is illegal to make racist remarks in public. Crime is well under control, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Londim's national animal is the monkey, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the libertine.

We welcome all tourists to Londim. We are a very liberal state but have our limits. As well as visiting our large cities visit our National Parks and support our drive for conservation

Located in the tropics, Paradise247 has a warm, sunny climate year round. For centuries the archipelago has been a little known Dutch colony, gaining independence only in 1990. The country’s current culture is the result of centuries of peaceful co-existence of the original population, and immigrants from The Netherlands, but also the Carribean, and – after 1953 – Indonesian immigrants.

The country consists of an archipelago of five larger islands and about 50 smaller islands. The official language of the country is Lalafai, a language historically similar to Samoan, but with influences of Polynesian and Micronesian languages. Yes, we most certainly are interested in developing such closer links. Let me elaborate this a little further.

1.
We consider it highly beneficial to develop close ties with similar organisations from other nations, because in the current political climate there seems to be a tendency - among some nations - to overreact and "break out the guns" over issues that could be solved more peacefully. Since Tourism involves the exchange of nations' citizens, it is a potential source of conflicts. I believe that Tourist Boards - because they understand the issues at hand better - could play an important role in this area.

2.
Another issue is the stimulation of tourism to each others' countries. As international travel fares become cheaper, more and more people want to spend their holidays abroad. Just like we can assist advertising Hochberg here, so you can assist us advertising Paradise247 in your country.

3.
Next I believe it might be useful to build a platform to share experiences and possibly even resources. For instance, my Board would be interested in a license for a Paradise247 version of The HTB's Guide to the World.

In a word: tormented. Religion justifies obedience to superiors, and the god-king, the Sacred Emperor. People are repressed by this and by military force. Ninety percent of the population or so is completely happy with this, actually; religious dogma justifies the repression, too. However, every once in a while revolution springs up, but the Imperium has brutally repressed every one, to date. The Succession Wars going on right now are a different story (Check this out if you see it), but overall the power of the Imperium is great. It is a member of the powerful CAD alliance, and is probably the most aggressive member; it dragged many of its most prominent allies into the Czardaian War, which it won. Although smaller in size than many of its peers, military power and sheer savagery carry it a long way. The rights of the individual are essentially nonexistent; the brutal Inquisition investigates all the citizenry, with powers to torture and execute suspected heretics at will.

However, the citizens are subconsciously aware of how miserable they really are, and hate themselves, as well as the foreigners (infidels) that they see around them. The culture is build on violence, hate, and repression, and sooner or later must destroy itself. Again, the Succession Wars are the strongest sign of this. And unfortunately, to prove their own strength, Imperial citizens shovel more misery onto their life, creating the cesspit of morality that is the Imperium.

The Holy City of Light is a religious city of a level of grandeur effortlessly surpassing the Holy See or Mecca. Ten square miles in area, the city has extensive catacombs and tunnels, many of which have been unexplored in centuries. Almost every year a new monastery is discovered.
From any point on any of the streets, tourists can see the towering Cathedral of Light, a structure a staggering mile and a half high, still under construction as it has been the past two centuries, a Cathedral in the gothic style dedicated to the Tribunes of the City. The museum of the Tribunate contains many undreds of priceless works of art from across the world that have been bought by the Tribunes of long ago, and holds possibly the world's most valuable collection of classic art. Even more is held in the catacombs of the First Tribunal, the five-thousand year-old founders of the city and the Tribunal faith.
The only permanent residents of the City of Light are the monks and ministers of the Tribunal Faith who decide the policies, and distribute the trillions of dollars in tithes the Tribunal Faith recieves yearly from devoted followers. As a result the entire city is a work of art, with every building carved out of pure white marble, often decorated with gold leaf. Crime is non-existant, as all permanent residents are scrupulously honest, and all tourists can be searched at any point by city guards. Generally the monks are only too happy to guide tourists around the city, which is full of smaller attractions.
The only access to the city is through the nation of Hayord, and across a range of mountains that surrounds the Gruie Cetaire, the Great Tribunal Mountain on which the ten square mile city is located.

Maraque is a constitutional monarchy that expands to over 1.5 billion square miles. This massive empire is home to as much as 1,000 different nationalities of people. Maraque is one of the most tolerant nations in the world; it is not an uncommon sight to see same-sex couples walking around holding hands together with their children, and public nudity is accepted, and normal in warm summer days.

The nation also has a universal healthcare and education system, as well as strong social welfare programs which makes sure even the poor are taken care of. Our nation revolves around the automobile; almost nothing is within walking distance, and we have a moderately well established public transportation system.

The culture of Maraque is much like that of most Western European and North American nations, in the sense that there is no one culture; but a multicultural society of hundreds of thousands who live together in complete harmony. Here in Maraque you will see whole towns of Indian people with Indian inspired stores, names, and everything in between. Then you could go across town and be, for all you knew, in a whole different country.

The languages of Maraque are predominantly Maraquean, English and German, with thousands of other languages widely spoken elsewhere. The national languages are Maraquean and English, with each province establishing it's own official language.

The climate of Maraque varies by continent, but mostly we have hot springs, mild summers, cold winters, and moderate falls. The northern most province of Ambai has snow almost the entire year, and the southern most province of York Island almost never has anything but sun.

Pan-Arab Barronia by history has been a sea-going nation, and the Pan-Arab Barronian Maritime Museum in Auraliae Aquensi reflects that - we recommend setting aside a day to see this amazing museum, exhibits in which include the first Barronian Capital ship, the HSM Venture. The ship sails at specific times of year to coincide with national holidays.

If you're more into shopping, then Evorense is the place for you. Sprawling shopping centres, extensive public transport (the Central Mall has a monorail station inside), and a number of bars and restaurants to cater to all tastes. A must for the money-spending fanatic in you.

Pan-Arab Barronia's history is mainly based in Farfensis. Here, you can see Arab Architecture in every part of the city, right down to the street bazaars, where haggling is taken as part of the package - why not try your hand?

Great Nicksyllvania (formerly known as Great Zeppelin) is a large barren island continent slightly smaller then the Australian Mainland. The land is largely made up of Hilly Terrain with rather fertile soil, although heavily polluted with clouds of soot and other industrial pollution. The South is mostly a desert in recent days due to widespread erosion, and the many large and mineral rich mountains lay along the North and throughout the nation.

The average temperature in Nicksyllvania is -40 to 40 Celsius depending upon the season. Humidty is high and rainfall is extremely frequent, acidic rain is a major concern for all and few people walk on the surface without a thick protective coat. Naturally most cities and buildings are built underground, with important government, military, and factories taking up the vast majority of surface land. Smog is an everyday occurance throughout the land and people are stonrgly advised to wear masks when travelling on the surface. Needless to say the Unnaturally Red horizon is breathtaking without the smog, although the scenery is disturbed by various Anti-Aircraft cannons and Missiles launchers that dot the land.

Nicksyllvanian culture is utilitarian to say the least. Architecture is extremely plain as buildings are made to serve basic purposes, however massive statues and monuments are reletively frequent, made out of Stainless Steel to help slow errosion by acid rain. The countries entire valuable metal supply (gold, silver, platinum) is used to make statues of honoured generals, the Emperor, or a multitude of patriotic ornaments. The basic culture is militaristic and male oriented along with a strong sense of national duty and collective unity.

Nicksyllvanian men are expected to be athletic, strong, intelligent, stoic, unquestionably loyal and efficient, they always keep their fair short, facial hair trimmed, and will rarely wear civilian clothing usually wearing their career uniforms. The harsh schooling system which encourages bullying and where teachers frequently flog students for minor rules infractions ensure's that Nicksyllvanian men grow up tough and hardy. Stealing is encouraged, although strictly punished if one is caught in the act. As early as age 7 students are introduced to firearms and go through frequent bayonet and march drills. Great Nicksyllvania (formerly known as Great Zeppelin) is a large barren island continent slightly smaller then the Australian Mainland. The land is largely made up of Hilly Terrain with rather fertile soil, although heavily polluted with clouds of soot and other industrial pollution. The South is mostly a desert in recent days due to widespread erosion, and the many large and mineral rich mountains lay along the North and throughout the nation.

The average temperature in Nicksyllvania is -40 to 40 Celsius depending upon the season. Humidty is high and rainfall is extremely frequent, acidic rain is a major concern for all and few people walk on the surface without a thick protective coat. Naturally most cities and buildings are built underground, with important government, military, and factories taking up the vast majority of surface land. Smog is an everyday occurance throughout the land and people are stonrgly advised to wear masks when travelling on the surface. Needless to say the Unnaturally Red horizon is breathtaking without the smog, although the scenery is disturbed by various Anti-Aircraft cannons and Missiles launchers that dot the land.

Nicksyllvanian culture is utilitarian to say the least. Architecture is extremely plain as buildings are made to serve basic purposes, however massive statues and monuments are reletively frequent, made out of Stainless Steel to help slow errosion by acid rain. The countries entire valuable metal supply (gold, silver, platinum) is used to make statues of honoured generals, the Emperor, or a multitude of patriotic ornaments. The basic culture is militaristic and male oriented along with a strong sense of national duty and collective unity.

Nicksyllvanian men are expected to be athletic, strong, intelligent, stoic, unquestionably loyal and efficient, they always keep their fair short, facial hair trimmed, and will rarely wear civilian clothing usually wearing their career uniforms. -Garkesan Ruins, The tribe of Garkesa was the most powerful on the island, mostly due to their inpenetrable fortress. However it was eventually destroyed and the massive ruins are still around today, just make sure if visiting to stear clear of Garkesans making a pilgramage to the site.

Luchamos is an Island that ecompasses a massive bay with islands inside. The nine tribes all have different monuments and spectacles to behold.

The tribes were nomadic only until the last hundred years, and even now house boats that are also fishing boats get together in groups as large as a 100,000 people who troll the Bay in search of fish.

Visitors are welcome and treated with utmost respect. If a person is able to see the floating capital of Balsas, few mention anything else.

The Travel book did say Every Country. BUT Lerasia is an isolationist nation that does not permit foriegners in the nation. but after reading this the governmnet has decied to open up a special tourist Zone. for the first time in 25 years Lerasia will open its borders to at least limited tourism

The special tourist zone is currently closed as its only in the planning stage but by mid 2007 it should be open to tourists. there you will be confined to a buble world that is still strictly government controlled. You will only see what they want you to see and Contact with real Lerasians will be an impossibility as they will be banned from the tourist zone. the only contact with real Lerasians will be the contact with tourist and hotel staff but be careful as you could get them into serious troule as conversations with foriegners is punishable by a long jail semtence for the poor Lerasian that happens to run into a pushy curious tourist. At present the border of Lerasia is completely sealed. But you can see lerasia from over the Barb fence from one of the neighboring nations. By mid 2007 Lerasia will allow its first group of tourists in the Special Tourist Zone

Calizorinstan has always been quite welcome to tourism, although a 40% drop occured following the recent Communist uprising, but overall has had a fairly strong economy. It's been alway's a tourist friendly country overall. The Civil War just ended, and now it's all right for tourist's. The major attraction for visitor's is touring the San Diego Military Airfield, for every type of aircraft the Calizorinstani Air Force has operated, from the P-40 up to the F/A-15C Cardinal. Calizorinstani has something for every tourist!
