OOC-This is my first factbook. Only constructive criticism please.

IC-

The Holy Empire of Pharonic Egypt is a small, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed population of 10 million are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Religion & Spirituality, and Defence. The average income tax rate is 35%, but much higher for the wealthy. A large private sector is led by the Woodchip Exports, Cheese Exports, and Furniture Restoration industries.

Voting is compulsory. Crime is moderate. Pharonic Egypt's national animal is the Egyptian Cobra, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Pharonius.

The leader of the Egyptian Empire is a Pharoah, currently Pharoah Demetrios II, son of Demetrios I, ''The Greek'' (he was given this name for his Greek heritage). The Imperial Family composes of only Demetrios II, Prince Constantine and Princess Theodora. Demetrios II's wife, Empress Sophia died some years ago at the hands of an assassin. Prince Constantine is the Pharonic Heir of Egypt. (I may add more people to Demetrios II's Imperial Family)

The Demetrian Court consists of ministers of the various ministries, like foreign affairs, defense or economy. The state religion is the Old Egyptian religion although Christianity is the second largest religion, and Islam as the third (I am considering changing the religion parts of my country). Minister Zazamoukh is the head advisor to Pharoah Demetrios II.

The Empire stretches from Egypt to Somalia and through other lands. Each province is governed by a Governor who is responsible to the Pharaoh.

What would you describe the offical Ancient Egyptian religion?

Is it the old monotheistic one (of worship to Amon-Ra) or is it the polytheistic version?

I am researching that one. I will decide soon.

Also, is the death penalty practiced at all?

Demetrios II placed the death penalty for crimes like-

1. Murder of children
2. Assassination of officals, ministers, Pharonic Family, etc
3. Treason

OK. Seems sensible. We have the same sort of thing.

The police are not strict and are armed well.
