Long live the King; le Roi est Mort. A wry chuckle split Remiel's lips as he giggled insatiably, preparing to make his own declaration. He raised a glass of gleaming green absinthe to his lips; downing it swiftly, before he began to speak. While we appreciate Emperor Roger's strategic ascension and glorious deification; we beseech his Imperial Majesty to rule wisely, truly and without bias. We know the pains and troubles of being an Emperor; we know how taxing this event may be for you...Let it be noted that the Imperium He began to laugh again, Gods he could not help it, so total was the jest.

The Imperium stands ready to aid his Imperial Majesty in whatever he may wish. Let it be noted that the Chronosian military has decreed a day of feasting and revelry, to celebrate this joyeous event. We hope that the citizens of Seaquest shall join us in our celebrations.

May his Imperial Majesty, Roger I, have a long and glorious reign

He signed off, collapsing into a fit of absolute laughter. "Oh, I must inform the Alteran's of this; Janus will go mad with this grand prank...Though I wonder, how far dear Roger is willing to push it."

BREAKING NEWS

Godulan Response Raises Eyebrows

In response to the declaration made by Roger Ramius Alexander Chiang Mackclintok with respect to emperorship of SeaQuest and New Dornalia, Baron Skye has seen fit to provide the following declaration:

Due to massive retroactive transition-of-power tax burdens placed upon SeaQuest and New Dornalia as of approximately thirty seconds ago, it is necessary to inform the esteemed Roger Ramius Alexander Chiang Mackclintok that he is now in debt to the Triad Consortium on the order of 750 trillion credits.

We take check and money order, but we suspect that no credit union will have anything to do with you.

Of course, we suspect that this is all some form of socio-political bluster, however it would be important to note that should the esteemed Roger Ramius Alexander Chiang Mackclintok seek to enforce his claim, he would be confirming the sum he owes to us and we would be forced to initiate collection procedures.

Have a nice day.

"So, what do you want to do about it, my lord?"

In a negotiating room on Sanctuary, both sides of the civil war began to hammer out an acceptable conclusion. However, an aide burst in, interrupting Commerce Ministress Sara Deral's speech about taxation.

"Incoming communication, wideband, from Mini Miehm, concerning Sea Quest and New Dornalia."

Sara turned red, quite upset over the interruption. Matthew Hunter put his hand to his face. "Why do you think we're even concerned with such heathenous xenophiliacs?" He was about to continue, but John Archer cut him off. "Just put it through to our terminals."

"Gotcha." A quick couple of button mashes, and everyone in the room recieved a copy. There was a moment of silence, and then small fits of laughter.

John Archer cleared his screen, smiling. "Next time, could you route it through an administrative secretary to ensure it's not this kind of crap? No! Keep bringing all transmissions by this guy to us. It's a good way to lighten the mood. Now, Miss Deral, you were saying?" There were muffled groans and multiple disinterested looks as she cleared her throat and began again. Several Psychohistorical equations replaced the Miehmish message on the main screen.

"Yes, the absolute value poll tax is not a viable option because it puts everyone on too level a playing field. However, with the application of a percentage modifier, as seen here..."

OoC: I see absolutely nothing noobish about this besides your comments, SQ. This is comedy, it is funny, and it is based off the actions of a real person, an American who, as I recall, proclaimed himself Emporer of the United States. More amusing is the fact that the Americans, out of good will or sympathy, humored him, and it would make for decent RP if you did similarly, rather than spouting "mm is teh noobzor".

This message was created by A Warlord calling himself "Emperor Roger I". This name records is the Warlord Ruling the Miehm Empire. This Empire have made pacts, or alliances with the Foul Traitors of Remiel, who we where ordered to look after.

The nation naturally declined this message, however, it seems a War is errupting over this inncident, which may be a time for us to make a strike. Miehm are making enemies, and we would only be one of many...however, these SeaQuestians are no better then the Heretics themselves, so I am unsure.

OOC: @MM: Interesting government you have set up for yourself. Interesting, but useless.

[This would be the perfect time to launch my planned invasion of SQ...]

OOC: @TGB: Got to find me first. After I seal the wormhole, my galaxy will be 'lost' as the only people who know its relation to the position of the Milky Way Galaxy are those I trust.

You may attempt this. Your Kythons will not save you this time. The SeaQuestians have surrendered and fled from our just wrath. In so doing they have accepted our right to rule them. Our province will make the payment to you.

OOC: @MM: Ehh, IC propaganda that's false. Interesting tactic.

Not usually, but this time, that's exactly how it's going to work. I'm dictating the terms to this one, SQ has the numbers, I have the battleground and mode of combat. Such are the rules of the duel. Godular can attack me if he wishes, but it would be in SQs best interest to keep his friends out of this. I'm not going to be nice about this one. If SQ thinks that he can challenge me, and then hide behind his allies when I show up in greater numbers, he is sadly mistaken. He wants to play the game, he'll play it the same way the rest of us do, one fleet against another. I've even given him the benefit of an ally. If he doesn't want to fight with favorable odds, I have to wonder why.

For one thing, you seem to lack understanding in the fundemental concept of 'cooperative roleplay', wherein people agree on what the rules are and (sometimes) the outcome of the RP. Trying to club SQ over the head with "MY R0LEZZ!!!!111" is for one monsterously immature, and also note how the rules work.

I also find your trying to 'humble' SQ a laughable excuse; it's like trying to point out the speck in someone elses eye when you've got a fucking 2 x 4 in yours. You continuously wank every aspect of your nation, you know nothing of balance, and you're arrogant enough to think that almost being a year old makes you able to stand up to people like AMF because some people coddle you instead of striking you down for the crap you pull.

It's truly sickening.

The key point to my insertion into this thread is to make a point:

I have as much right to levy a supermassive bill on Mini Miehm as Mini Miehm has to declare himself emperor of two other nations without their permission. Be it a joke or not:

None.

Knowing that we are on equal legal grounds at this particular point in time, Mini Miehm is given two options: Withdraw from the situation entirely, particularly in the area of pursuing hostilities against SeaQuest and New Dornalia, or continue on in the full knowledge that I WILL come calling, most likely with a metaphorical kneebreaking sledge.

The rules are as follows: SQ has challenged my authority, legitimate or not. He has created a thread for this. HE has made it closed to anyone other than myself and New Dornalia. If he had wanted the ability to call in allies, he wouldn't have made it a two on one thread. These are not the rules I have made, these are the rules SQ has forced upon himself. That is the only thread I'll be acknowledging for this RP, meaning Godular cannot ride to poor little SQs rescue. If SQ WANTS Godulars help then he'll have to deal with whatever help I bring in. In the end it is in his best interest to keep things as they are. As for deciding the outcome before hand, that's for fools and damn fools. Which are you?

Now, addressing your second point: And you continuously talk, without actually DOING anything. When you've shown me that you can fight and RP like the rest of us, then I'll consider some of the things you say. Until then you're all talk, without the respect I pay to those that have earned it. I've said it once and I'll say it again I'm sure. AMF is overblown. He's impressive enough, and he's a good fighter, but his primary force relies on numbers. I have always relied on simply being BETTER than the rest of my opponents.

Now, Chronosia has made several very good points to me in the last few days, and the end result is thus: SQ is on a permanent hard ignore. Godular is temporarily on ignore, for being an ass and interfering where he wasn't needed. Electron X is ignored, same as SQ, because you simply annoy the hell out of me. Seem a bit irrational? It is, because I'm tired of putting up with SQs arrogant lectures, Godulars attempts at empire building, and your simple arrogance. Perhaps when you actually start playing the game, instead of just critiquing those of us that do, I'll be willing to talk to you again. You aren't even one of us, just a cliqueish Earth RPer. Go back to your little friends and your comfort zone.

Oh yes, my favourite, pull something out your ass so you can ignore what someone says to you. I don't need to show you anything to validate my point; doing such things has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Oh please, please!!! respect me so my life can be complete!

I also find it funny you think you're better then everyone else; it just gets down to you wanking harder than everyone else, almost refusing to take any real losses, yelling at people who tell you what you're doing is going to own them, and masturbating to your own 'technology.' If you were a better writer than AMF, or if you had the same amount of non-wank war experience that he has, I might be on your side, but no; you just think you're better than everyone else.

No offense MM, if I wanted I probably could godmode my Eternals using their greater technologies and superior abilities to dominate many NS nations, but I don’t even on a few occasions I allowed my forces to be defeated because I do not use my Eternals in combat so that I am able to rp without causing controversy over the use of my Eternals and as well not take the fun out of having to rp on an equal level of other rpers. As well MM you say you have always relied on simply being ‘BETTER’ than your opponents. That cannot always happen remember that because there are many good rpers on NS.

I am acting like someone who is quickly becoming tired of Godulars theory of "the only legitiamate wank is mine, or those few RPers I decide are acceptable", SQs incessant lecturing, ElectonXs pointless involvement, and various other things. Mostly I'm pissed at Godular for attempting to ruin what would have been an interesting RP. Can't have anything that might upset the mold can we? Originality and humor are things to be dreaded in II it seems. Am I annoyed that Godular seems to think it's his beholden duty to be my personal forum nazi? Yes, yes I am.

@Scand: That's all well and good. The point was not better in terms of RP skill, but in a balancing act. Size of an opponent offset by a technological edge. We all know that most of the small nations would not last very long were it not for the alliances. I'm basically a maverick, even within the GE. When your opponent outnumbers you by 3-1, what is the ultimate reaction? You come up with something better than what he's using. You can't outnumber your opponent, so you compensate in other ways, better weapons, better defenses, better everything, until you reach parity. Because honestly, where would the fun be if we all took Godulars route, with the wanktastic Kythons that have only one weakness, are effectively impossible to kill, have nearly unlimited numbers, and can't be stopped by anything?

@Godular: Incorrect. The exact quote is "In the presence of SQ I end up just as bad as he is." If you are going to make quotes, make them properly. And you have no right to call me like TCG. The situations are quite reversed for one thing. SQ issued the challenge, SQ started the thread, SQ had the backup of another nation. I was more in the position of TCG, and all I asked for was a reasonable fight. You on the other hand took a very different side this time. Where it was acceptable to reduce the number of opponents down to 2-1 against TCG, it would seem that it is a crime for the same to be done in my case. In fact, not only was it 2-1, but it was 2-1 with me outnumbered population wise as well. Now explain why they should need your help.

But where's the fun in that? Plus, contact him via TG? Takes forever to get a reply. Via MSN? I don't want to talk to him any more than necessary. Plus, asking SQ would have resulted in an inevitable negative response, because he lacks a sense of humor, as evidenced by the fact that he thinks firing off fireworks in the shape of a ":upyours:" is funny. It is in fact rather pointless, and more likely to annoy, whereas the sheer INSANITY of Roger would have been worth a few giggles.

I picked SQ because he was the topic of discussion when Emperor Norton was brought up, not because I enjoy dealing with him. After his initial reaction, it ws clear that I could gain some benefit from goading him into combat, and so I did, assuming that his allies would be intelligent enough to leave well enough alone. The fact is that I would have left him alone militarily had he not been a smartass when he retreated. I had intended to kill whatever he sent, and then simply sit around making amusing appointments and decrees, but we saw how that ended. Instead of doing a bit of killing and alot of giggling, SQ took thiungs MUCH too seriously, and along with Godular, shot the RP repeatedly in the head with a very large bore shotgun. Like maybe a Punt Gun.
