After our Annual Force Review, the Beltway Security Force has determined the need for mine warfare vessels. Further, we wish to expand the size of our brown-water navy. Given these new requirements, we will purchase the following items:

1 Avenger-class MCM
1 Frankenthal-class MHC
1 Huron-class MHC
1 Landsort-class MHC
1 Hunt-class MHC
1 Sandown-class MHC
1 River-class MSC
1 Flyvetisken-class MCM
2 Supply-class AOE
2 Halifax-class FFG
1 Upholder-class SSK (with Sub-Harpoon)

The bill, less a 2.5% discount due to our population being between 100 and 150 million, comes to $2,958,930,000.00, which will be wired to you upon confirmation. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Benjamin Cardin, Defence Minister of The Beltway

It helps to have original designs; modernizing old battleships is good, but you may want to design your own. Prices seem reasonable, and the variety of naval ships is excellent; your auxiliaries and mine-warfare vessels attracted me to this store. Good luck with business!

OCC: I have design some of my own battleships- but I've been busying getting stuff that already exist today up on the site. The naval section alone took about a week. Right now I'm working on the Miscellaneous section. 1/3 way through. All of the Miscellaneous should be up in a week or so. After that I get some of my own designs up. I'm glad you like the variety of ships- theres more to Naval warfare then just ships with big guns and lots of missiles. Though ships with big guns and lots of missiles are nice too. :D
Thank you for the input and the order. If you have any more input that would help alot- thanks.

OOC - Nice battleship and battlecruiser designs; however, you shouldn't mix Goalkeepers and Phalanxes. They use different ammo, making it more expensive for a navy to buy munitions and more difficult to handle logistics. Make it an option to use one CIWS while listing the ships as using the other CIWS.
If you are interested in designing further ships, the NS Draftroom (http://s13.invisionfree.com/The_NS_Draftroom) is a good place to get the designs vetted.

OCC:
First- Thank you, I spent a few hours doing research and adding up numbers and dimensions trying to figure out if the following specs could be so and so done. I'm pretty sure, even with todays technology they could be built, only question is why build them.

Second- As for the mixing of Goalkeepers and Phalanxes, at first it might just seem like a waste but each offers something different, and the budgets most nations have here on nationstates are so large that the cost of supply them is just a drop in a bucket. Let me give you an example, my nation has a defense budget of over 4 trillion. 90% of the time large parts of that money goes to waste. In real life, my budget would change day to day, week to week, year to year. Takes a long time to change here. For comparsion most real life countries don't even come close to spending what most nations here do.

Third- This is the Armament the Iowa Class Battleships during World War 2 were armed with. 3 triple 16/50, 10 dual 5/38, 19 quad 40 mm, 52 single 20 mm. If the Iowa Class Battleships can be supplied with ammo for 19 40mm and 52 20mm guns, over 60 years ago. Today would be even easier, so while the logistics is more of a headache, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Fourth- As I said in my Rules and Regulations, I know its alot to read so your forgiven for skipping over it. I do custom orders, don't won't such and such on that ship say so in your order and I take off of the price for the item you want removed. If you change your mind, after you bought it and used the product, you can still take it off your self. It won't be that hard.

Anyways, thanks for the advice. And I take a look at that site when I get a chance. If you have anymore questions or comments feel free to ask them.

OOC - I'm glad you took the time to respond. One other thing to keep in mind is that Goalkeeper and Phalanx probably have different electronics. They may have difficulty cooperating, although I imagine it would be easy to set up some sort of electronics managing them.
