OOC: These events happen in Xharn shortly after the death of the previous king (murdered just because he happened to be insane). These events obviously happen before the out-break of civil war in Xharn, it has been less then a day since the coup was launched (insurrections take a while to plan and build up).

Previous events:


The Queen Yuria Ronalda watched in horror as an X.R.I.C. extermination team moved through her private estates lawn. Shooting and killing all the Guards still loyal to the Ronalda family. The former King's Daughter Mary Ronalda was about 10 at the time.

She watched in horror as the fighting outside was getting bloody.

The Queen gives here daughter one last command to run and live.

The Princess heads down basement and finally finds the entrance to the Cellar when she hears the sound of "BOOM" The Estate takes a direct hit and one of the walls crumbles under the Arterillery shell.

The Queen runs with a group of guards trying to make it to her daughter when a X.R.I.C. sniper finds the back of her head in his cross hairs...

The Guards were also brutally exterminated and so were the servants. The orders were no surrviors. The X.R.I.C. looked for the Princess's body in the ruble but could not find it. They assumed she must have been hit directly with an incomeing mortar shell or something and blew her to pieces.

The Princess after three hours of hiding manages to sleep into the darkness undected.

Mary awoke after several hours of restless disturbed sleep. The young girl crawled from her hiding place and looked once again upon the destruction surrounding her. From a hole in the wall it could be determined to be evening. She could not help but burst into tears… She fell to the gound crying...

IC:

The X.R.I.C. agents had long since left, They had successfully completed there mission and the King's family had been executed just like the new King wanted.

The estate that the Princess Mary Ronalda had lived in for most of her life had been wrecked. The Night was cold and there was no light save the moon that was still half cresant. The estate was abandoned by all human life. She could her the many strange noises that usually follow in times like these the hooting of owls the chrip of crickets and they left her frightened.

Mary heads towards her room to gather what she can. She finds most of her things destroyed execpt her signet ring, her blanket and her favorite neckless. The one with the Icon of the flag of Xharn on it. The skull was made of pure gold and silver. The eyes sockets had rubies and the sun background was made of Jade. Princess Mary hides these valuables inside her blanket then she folds it up to conceal them. She find

Princess Mary starts to feel hungry and heads towards the once elegant Kitchen for food what she finds on the way is disturbing.

The bodies of the hall room staff were laid out as though they had been executed by shooting agianst the wall. The holes in the wall suggested the X.R.I.C. agents had lined them up and shot them without any hestation. The blood on the walls was evident...

OOC: Xharn, I'm unclear on the time sequence of these RP's (not that I don't do the same thing...). This is before the reign of Azure IV and your other story line re: the development of nuclear weapons by Xharn and the subsequent war with Usea-Jason, right?

Good Lord, you mean that there's another civil war after the civil war that Azure IV put down?

I guess we won't be building any factories in Xharn anytime soon... ;)

OOC: For the sake of everyone here. The King Azure IV was killed off in the Death of Living God Rp. by non other than everyone's favorite Supreme Advisor. This is about King's Azure IV daughter who is being hunted by the X.R.I.C. under Carl Von Ericson....

EDIT: We may believe our rulers are chosen by god but that does not stop us from killing them off when they show signs of weakness or screw up big...

The King Carl Von Ericson was starting to relax for the first time since the whole mess with killing the King Azure IV.

The people for the most part accepted the new change of Kings. There were many loyalists that still fought but they were going to be no match for Xharn's very well armed and experienced Army, and Guardsmen. The Loyalists were mostly people who were peasants and other low ranking people that still believed that murdering the King would bring the wraith of god upon Xharn.


The knock at his door however zoned him back to reality. A femine voice saids, "Your Majesty, I am here to report about the startegic eliemantion of Queen Yuria and her Daughter Mary the only people with Ronalda blood that was once in there veins."

[OCC: Though this thread is closed would I be correct in assuming that my being in no small part a cause of the previous King’s untimely demise qualifies me for membership of this rp?]

The King Carl Von Ericson hoped that a meeting like this could be achieved hopefully he could get the Xirnium to forget his predecissiors horriable mistake.

The Supreme Field Marshal Ivan Krell however objects to the Kings decsion to leave, "Sir what about the Revolutionaries that demand the Rolanda family back on the throne?"

The King looked at his Supreme Field Marshal and saids, "The Rolanda family is wiped out and the protestors should be fired upon with extreme prejudice they are going agaisnt there divine King and have comited treason agaisnt the Royal Government."

The Supreme Field Marshal bows and heads off to tell his Field Marshals to fire upon the protestors in Xharnia and Covoa....
