World Factbook Entry: Due to the overpopulation of the world. Some of it's citizens have started to migrate to the Poles despite the frozen conditions. This region consists of both the North and South Poles. The Capital of the region is the "Citadel of Ice" located at the South Pole. Travel options between the poles include scramjet aircraft and supersonic maglev trains (through subsurface vacuum tunnels).
Natural resources abundant; including crude oil reserves under the Arctic Sea and Methane gas reserves locked deep under the Antarctic Ice shelves.
