Small scale historical naval RP

I'm interested in having a small scale (i.e. a few ships, individual characters focused on) historical naval RP. Like, Ryanania vs. pirates, maybe with some other nations meddling. The tech level is to be colonial (sailing ships, cannons, flintlocks, etc).

So if you're interested, post your character(s)/ship(s), and what kind of role you'd like to play.

USS Manassas, 50, name ship of a 50 gun fourth rate (OOC: the class was never designed IRL but it's my take on an American 50 gun ship). It would be as much of an improvement on the 50 gun ship as the Constitution was on the British frigate.

Length: 187 feet (wl); 216 feet (oa)
Armament: Main deck 32 x 32 lb long guns; quarterdeck 20 x 42 lb carronades, 8 x 24 lb long guns; bow chasers 2 x 32 lb long guns; stern chasers 4 x 32 lb long guns.
Displacement: 1,827 tons full
Complement: 500

Captain: Daniel Morgan
First Lieutenant: Ben Hoffmann

Other characters could come in as needed.

this is based off the ficticious Ironclad from War of the Worlds, I don't know if you'll allow it cos it's an Ironclad but it's worth a try.

Would I be allowed to take an armed Windjammer?

Its a bit later-tech than you specified... >.>;

Its a bit later-tech than you specified... >.>;Yes. As long as your ship is wooden, not motorized, carries old-style black powder cannons, and your crew doesn't use anything more advanced than flintlock muskets, it's acceptable. I'm not going to be too strict about the colonial time period thing.
