I got an idea for an rp. It would be about the founding of Whittier. It would take place somewhere around the 70's 80's or 90's timeline.

Since this is Whittier (the nation) just starting out, there will be no Whittier army and no Whittier economy. Cause those have to be created.

Actually it would start off with Whittier not being a country but then end with Whittier being a country. So the future Whittierites would be dependent on their host nation and the goodwill of other nations for stuff. Well actually they wouldn't be called Whittierites yet either.

Anyone interested? Any suggestions?

TG me so we can discuss it. But for a basic overview, my nation emerges from the anarchy and chaos following the collapse of the United States into feuding states. (Kind of like America's version of the Warring states period.)

They are prone to the governments of the feuding states they are residing in.

So I take it most of the participating countries have to be other breakaway American states? Or have some sort of other idea?

I'd be willing to participate, but I'd have to know exactly what the result of the founding of Whittier would be.

IE, territory lost/gained vs the US's old holdings.

The UPR will consist of California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, baja california and the Mexican states of Sonora and Chihuahua. Though Singapore is part of Whittier, it was not added until later.

They can be a breakaway American state or they can be their own state but with the boundaries of a state or a nation. (Or island in the middle of some ocean.)

Some rules for military. Just tossing this out for feedback. Its not final yet.

1. No more than 500,000 land troops for each territory a person has.
2. No more than 10,000 aircraft total in the airforce.
3. No big ships like carriers or battleships, unless you are rping a nation that is not located in North America. Everyone in North America, that has a coat, can't have anything bigger than a frigate. This due to european and asian nations being around for a while and the new states that came out of the collapse of Canada, the United States, and Mexico would not have had enough time to build up the money required for the big stuff. The North American governments just recently collapsed 2 to 3 years ago and the individual fiefstates are still trying to figure out how secure themselves financially, domestically, and internationally.
Many of the governments are extremely corrupt and often violate international agreements and the rights of the people are often trampled on for the sake of the Multinational corps.

The Federal Republic of Canada consists of the Western Provinces and Territories of the Dominion of Canada; Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The birth of the first Canadian Federal Republic was the result of the failure of the Constitutional Act of 1982 (Canada Act) under Pierre Trudeau’s Liberal Government. The nation officially declared itself, as the Federal Republic of Canada on July 2nd, 1983. The Federal Republic of Canada is also known as Western Canada.

In the mid-1990s the Emirates of the North-West, consisted of; Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North & South Dakota. In 2002, the American State of Alaska joined the Canadian Republic as its third territory.

Lanquassia: California, Baja California, and people in those nations. Except those who end up becoming part of the Whittier govt.

Actually, I've decided to just be the historical narrator. You guys get to rp the actual individual states that end up together as Whittier.
