Credonian Presidential Palace, Presidential Office

President Sutton stood in the Presidential office looking out of the window at the beautiful scene outside. It was noon and the sun shown brightly. Kaimoni smiled as he watched as Credonian men, women, and children walked the streets, drove their cars, going about their daily lives happily and peacefully. He began comparing the lives of the Credonian people to Credonia's foreign relations and he realized that relations with a lot of countries wasnt as happy or prosperous as he liked.

"Hmmm, what countries could I better relations with?" Sutton thought as he continued gazing out of the window.

"Stevid...they have been making some pretty generous concessions to build relations, and theres really no reason why we cant and shouldnt get along now..hmm" he continued to think.

He broke his gaze and walked to his desk, pressing a button on his phone.

"Melanie, I need you to call Secretary Smith right away please."

"Very well Mr. President" responded Melanie Mitchellson, Sutton's personal secretary.

"Good afternoon Mr. President"

"Hows it going Lauren?"

"Pretty good sir. How can I help you?"

"I need you to send a message to the Stevidian government. Invite their leaders to the palace. Its time we need to normalize relations with them. Set it up for Sunday if they can make it."

"Very well sir. I'll get right on it."

*Click* Sutton hangs up.

Speaking in behalf of the President of the United States of Credonia, Kaimoni Sutton, I would like to invite the top leaders of your government to Credonia City for a diplomatic trip to FULLY normalize Credonia-Stevid relations. “Sir! Sir!” shouted a running man down a well-lit, beautiful corridor. He was running towards a tall man with black hair who was talking to a woman of about his age.
“Sir please! Sir!”
The tall man turned around. David M. Conroy. Prime Minister of Stevid with a calm and relaxed look on his face replied to the tired man.
“Yes Bill old chap what can I do for you?”
“Sir! Message! Credonia! Talks!” the man panted.
“Bill you old fool! Calm down. Slow down and talk to me properly. What is this about Credonia?”
“Yes sir! Sorry sir! Sir the Foreign office has received a message from the nation of Credonia asking for you to attend talks between Mr. President Sutton himself and you personally with some political officials that you would deem appropriate to attend!”
Conroy looked at the paper that had just been handed to him by the man and examined it, eyeing every word very carefully. He then turned to the young lady next to him.
“Look my dear. We’ll talk about this another time, this could be important. I’ll see you later.”
The lady nodded and walked off down the corridor.
“Now Bill. This isn’t joke so I’m going to take this seriously. Tensions between Credonia and us may start rising again because of these OMP talks and stuff, and then Credoina approaches us with some sort of talks to get our relations up and running again. Bill this is a perfect opportunity. Too many years have passed since I met Mr. Sutton in person. Might even have been all those years ago when we were in the same alliance as they were. I forget the name but it’s definitely not OMP. Anyway, the offer looks good. We leave tomorrow and stay for two days in the capital. We get a tour of the capital, rooms and essentials and then the we have those all-important talks. I looked at the weather forecast and it’s sounds like lovely weather. This could prove important and a turning point in history Bill. Get things ready for me will ya? And keep me informed. Oh and tell the foreign office to send a message and I’d like MI6 on this as well. Okay?”
“Yes and no sir. The population aren’t as friendly towards Credonia as you are. I’m sure you are aware of this sir.”
“Yes Bill, I am aware that some people in this country are anti- Credonian. But what I say goes in this country and the military is strong enough to fight ten uprising in this country, the people will have to cope. They’ll adapt and they’ll be able to have holidays in Credonia again… I hear it’s a nice place.”
“Don’t worry sir, I’ll sort everything out.”
“Thank you Bill.”

The man left the room and rushed over towards the Foreign office leaving David Conroy wondering that this may prove to be a momentous occasion and a historical event.

Prime Minister David M. Conroy has accepted your invitation to your capital to try and mend relations between our two nations. Tomorrow is a good time and a Private Jet containing 35 people on board will be flying from Stevid International Airport to Credonia and will land at approximately 5:30pm (OOC: 5:30 English time is when I’ll be online because that’s when I finish working and get some free time.).
David M. Conroy and some other ministers will be the main people whom Mr. Sutton may like to speak to. There will be 6- 12 MI6 agents accompanying Mr. Conroy at all times unless it is a private meeting or they are unwanted at the time. They will be bodyguards only and not spies.

"Sir, I have a message for you from the Stevid Foreign Office" Says a man dressed in a black suit with dark sunglasses.

"Thank you" replies President Sutton as he sat at his desk.

The President reads over the message carefully and is delighted by its contents. All necessary arrangements to prepare for the bilateral summit had been made and the media alerted. Now it was just a matter of time before the Prime Minister of Stevid arrived in Credonia for what would turn out to be one of the mosti historical moments in Credonian and world history.

OOC: Sorry to make the post short. Go ahead and post your trip to Credonia to get it started.

Conroy One

Conroy looked out of the window he was sitting next to, staring out over the light blue sea. It was morning and he was already washed and dressed. The waters he was looking over were the waters he thought he’d never see under these circumstances, Credonian national waters. What was once a war ground of threats and aggressive naval power was now a calm peaceful stretch of water.
He turned away from the windows and walked towards the front of is huge personal jet. The layout near the front was like an AWACS plane. He walked over to the radar operator.

“When did our escorts leave us Lieutenant?”
“About midnight sir, you were in your office bedroom, sleep at the time. Credonian escort fighters will be here shortly. The diplomatic procedures are almost the same as ours.”
“What type of jets?”
“We don’t yet sir, and to be honest I don’t care, as long as we’re not their target I’m happy.”
“I hear that! Keep me informed. I’ll be having breakfast with the others.”
“Aye sir.”

Conroy walked back down the plane and sat down in what looked like a dining room with his breakfast, still hot, lay on the mat. He sat down with the other s and started talking.

Cockpit

A siren sounded and three red lights started flashing. The captain pressed a button and all was quiet again.

“Looks like we’ve company lads!”

Two Credonian fighters flew past and then turned and followed alongside the Stevidian jet.

]“This is control Conroy One, this is Control fighters I assume are their providing air cover? Over?”
“Flight 232 Conroy One here. Yes sir fighters are with us and we do see the runway in this clear weather. Over.”
Roger that Conroy One! Right eight degrees for line up. Then you’re on the money. Welcome to Credonia Flight 232!”
“Confirmed!”

The plane landed gently and lined up outside a vacated position in the airport.

Just as Conroy One arrived, the Credonian motorcade carrying Secretary of State Lauren Smith pulled aside Conroy One. Secret service agents filed out of their vehicles and secured the area around the motorcade and the aircraft and gave the o.k. for the Secretary to step out of the vehicle. As she stepped out, she looked around at the airport scenery and took in a breath of sweet smelling Credonian air before looking at the hatch of Conroy One, eagerly waiting to shake hands with the Prime Minister. She hoped that past complications involving the OMP hadnt soured any relations between the two nations, but she was sure that everything would be fine and that this summit would be the beginning of a new era for Credonia and Stevid.

The PM started towards the door. He looked calm and relaxed as he turn to his assistant.

"How do I look my dear?"
"Great sir. You look great."
"Thank you, my dear. But i'm only just covering up my nerves and looking smart only helps a little bit. I never thought I'd see the day that i'd breath Credonian air, but here I am and there's a first time for everything."

The door opened and Conroy stepped out onto the first step and observed the airport. Two men dressed in black flanked him as well. Conroy saw a women on the runway who had a few guards nearby to her. He saw no one else with that sort of protecttion nearby and so assumed that she was the one he was supposed to be meeting with, and with doing so, walked down the steps onto the airport tarmac and approched the woman.

"Hello there, I'm David M. Conroy, Prime Minister of the Empire of Stevid" He said extending a hand out to the women. "Fine place you have here, I look forward to the meeting with the president."

Lauren carefully studied the man extending his arm for a handshake and firmly grasped and shook it.

"Prime Minister Conroy, Welcome to Credonia. Its an honor to meet you, sir. Im Credonian Secretary of State Lauren Smith, but you may call me Lauren. President Sutton wishes to express his deep gratitude that you could meet here in Credonia on such short notice and he hopes that the events that have unfolded as of lately, mainly pertaining to the OMP conflict has not harmed relations between our two nations in any way, shape, or form." Lauren smiled gently as she let go of the Prime Minister's hand. She hoped that she made a good first impression as this was the first time a government official from Stevid has ever set foot on Credonian soil.

"Well, lets get this show on the road shall we? Right this way please." says Lauren politely as she leads the Prime Minister to the limousine.

As she approached the limo, a secret service agent held open the door to allow the Secretary, Prime Minister, and his lady guest (OOC: Im not sure but is she going to be with your PM throughout the summit?) to climb in.

"I never thought I'd see the day where a Stevidian government official would visit Credonia on peaceful terms. A year ago, the mere idea would have been laughed at, but here we are. A sign that times are changing and that we as nations can progress peacefully, despite our pasts." says Lauren as the motorcade begins to pull off.

"So, Mr. Prime Minister, with all due respect, what is Stevid like? I've heard so many stories from many different Credonian's, which im sure a couple are true, but I'd rather hear them from a person of your stature, who is an actual citizen of Stevid, since you obviously have an unbiased view about your people and your nation."

OOC: The lady is the PM assistant and will make a record of everything on the record. She will not jot things down like personal convo's with no relevance to the meetings (that's not to say don't post them!) or anything off the record.

IC:

The PM didn't answer this question at first, he was admiring the Limo and the scenery outside of the darkened windows of the Limo.

"Stevid? Well were do I start. A large beautiful nation... In my opinion, those which want to find out for themselves are welcome to come. We are well known in are region for are huge valleys and rivers. Think of it as The Rhine but inlarged a couple of times. The people are a proud people, willing to do what is best for them and their country.

The people are friendly, if not slightly xenophobic, but none the less friendly towards the neighbouring international communities. Although i'm sad to say education isn't what it once was and in effect the population isn't as bright as they once were. Still, the people are proud of a powerful nation.

Before I came to power I was an Admiral in the Royal Navy, well paied and highly respected. It is a wonderful sight to go down into the valley in a ship you know well alongside the people you know and love.

There is more, but to fully tell what emotions you might feel you'll have to visit Stevid yourself sometime.

Anyway, i'm feeling rather proud myself. The First member of the Stevid Government to set foot on Credonian soil, a day i didn't think would come in my lifetime.

He paused for a moment and looked out the window and spyied a great palace of some sort gleaming white with pride in the hot Credonia sun.

Say umm...... Lauren..... that big building over there..... is that where we're heading? Sure looks big!"
