[OOC: Lets make this the first Earth Tommarow I war thread, and lets make it interesting.]

Oured, Saudi Arabia

The large city, just due south of the capital of Saudi Arabia, housed all government actions and was shifting over to the very city.
The Presidente was preparing a speech to the International Community about the resent military massing on the Iraki, Kuwaiti, and Joranian borders.

He stepped onto the stage where a bullet-proof glass surrounded him at all angles. He began,

As Presidente of the United Osea States of Truitt, I would like to first make a very important annoucment concerning our very nation.....Hello.

The entire crowd started to look around and the expression are you kidding me? was all over the nation, and world.

Now, to serious buisness. Fascist-held Iraq, Anarchy-stricen Isreal and Palestine, and Dictator-opressed Syria have all pressured my own faction to step down from office. Well, I will do that.

The crowd this time was surprised but were quickly shook out of their gaze as he continued.

But, not now. Not, at least, until we have claimed those lands for ourselves! In the name of Osea, we shall claim them, one way or the other.

The crowd looked around agian, but then, when seeing he was telling the truth, began a large uprour of support.

Borders

Syria, Iraq, Isreal, and Palestine all set their militarys on alert. Isreal quickly contacted the Osea Council and asked to hold elections on if they wishes to freely form into Osea Control.
Syria and Iraq formmed a make-shift alliance called the Black Liberation Coalition, and Palestine had said publically that it would begin a massive invasion of Isreal if the country turnned into Osea Rule.
The Middle East was in uproar, expecialy when Bahrain warned the Osea Council not to invade them or face Iran's comming into the war.
Other European countries also had a few words to say. Cyprus and Turkey all called that they would stop the United Osea States if they went into Syria or Palestine. Georgia and Armenia also requested to join the Black Liberation Coalition with a possable intervention by Greece, following Cyprus's views.

Truitt had a long war ahead, and those interventions would prove troublesom for the nation.

[OOC: Any Earth Tommarow I nations that would not mind RPing as their nations or as the nations I listed, you are welcome to come in. I am askign to keep this fairly small, have the neutral countries all have a massive assualt on me as I cross borders. My mission is to unite the Middle East form constant war, and this ain't helpin' ;-) ]

Syria

General Hafez al-Aharna watched the video transmit in his office in the base in the Syrian Desert, northeast of Damascus. He couldn't believe what he saw. After the video ended with scenes of the foreign president waving to the audience, the screen went back to the President.
"You see that?"
"Of course I did, Mr. President. But what does it mean?"
"Hafez, you know what it means. This may mean the end of Syria as we know it, the end of Islam as we know it, the end of the world as we know it!"
"Now calm down, ..."
"Calm down? You KNOW what this means, you're just hiding it!"
"Okay, you're right. I'm guessing I should mobilize the troops, call in the reserves, and get the air transports ready?"
"Yeah, but there's something else. I've been talking about this with Imrad for a couple of weeks."
"Oh, that man's a lunatic. You only appointed him because he's friends with some rich sheiks. First, he says we should send paratroopers to sack the Vatican. Then, it was an invasion of Norway. Then, he says we should...." The general looked frightened. "No, you can't do that! That would throw everything off! He would get caught just trying! That's completely insane! It would hurt the situation even more!"
"Hafez, Hafez, you're only a general. You're not "inside" of things here in Damascus. We're halfway to our goal."
"You mean...."
"Oh, yes. The assassin's already flying in right now."

[OOC: Holy crap, an assassination attempt? Good luck in getting them in the country with the alert on high.]

The Presidente has been safe, in Oured, under the protection of the Black Sheets and the ever-present fortress that was the city.

He had ordered the forces to mobilize after Isreal's votting had come in, they by a 73% majority wished to be annexed, mainly being that Truitt was a Judao Christian State.

"Let the games begin." Said the Councilari, James Conners, as he gave the order to mobilize all troops and forces.

Ships started to fire missles at Iran and Iraq and ground troops started to open fire in Iraq, Palestine, and Syria. The Emerald Shield Missle Network had launched a total of fifty IRBMs with balistica-based warheads at key places in Syria and Iran, the main problems of the war.

1,200,000 million troops in all were dispatched for this operation, and more would be needed once the other nations formmed alliances.

Syria
General al-Aharna rushed through headquarters. he couldn't believed that Truitt had actually taken action. There had been at least a dozen missile strikes in Syria in the past hour, and more were surely on their way. The targets had been rather strategic: a dam on the Euphrates; power plants in Aleppo and Latakia; a university nuclear research lab; arms factories in Hims, Damascus, and Jablah; the international airport in Damascus; the financial district, also in that city; the Ministry of Defense headquarters; and an oil refinery in the north. Thankfully, it was towards the end of the workday, but there were still many deaths and injuries.
He stepped to a microphone. "Attention ALL EMPLOYEES. There will be a three-stage emergency. You know the drill. Start with the least essential personnel using Tunnel 3. Thank you."
He moved to the command desk and met with his aides, Colonel Talani and General Namur of the Air Force.
Talani met him. "Sir, we have quite a conflict in the South near the Golan Heights, just north of the border. At least 3,000 troops are crossing at the moment. We also have reports at this location (points to a map) near the Iraqi border."
"Just swell, okay, begin complete mobilization. I want a half of a million troops ready to proceed to the front with two days."
Namur spoke. "Fighters, bombers, and a few helicopters have departed the base and should be at the border within minutes. I'm getting transport ready for paratroopers."
"Good." He turned to a nearby approaching aide. "Yes?"
"Sir, we just heard of two more strikes. One landed in a residential neighborhood in Aleppo and may have been intended for other targets in the area. The other hit the mosque in Damascus."
"Oh my. A mosque?"
"Yes."
Namur exclaimed "Well, knew they were Jewish and Christian. But to strike a mosque?"
al-Aharna next said, "Well, is the president safe?"
The aide replied. "He is currently in one of his secret bunkers in Damascus."
"Good."
"He also informed me that he has recommended that you begin airstikes against Truitt. And, now that Israel has joined against us, it may be necessary to bomb them-"
"Excuse me, gentlemen." Suddenly, one of the Parliament's most well-known member, Moham al-Bossar, appeared.
Talani exclaimed! "Why on Earth are you here?"
al-Bossar replied, "I drove here myself. Electric communications is totally inadequate at the moment, considering power is out. Anyway, down to business. First of all, all but one member of Parliament just voted to allow strikes and military intrusion on Truitt's possessions in Saudi Arabia, and also in Israel."
"Wow."
"Secondly, to much dismay, the vice president was killed today in a strike on a residential neighborhood of Aleppo." The commanders were stunned, as he continued. "According to Constitutional procedure, the president should still appoint an heir, should he be killed. he has appointed you, General al-Aharna, and this appointment was gladly received by the Parliament. However, be advised to keep secrecy, since no one besides the President, Parliament, and you four know this. Also, general, you will be allowed to keep your position as commander of the military until the war is over."
al-Aharna was overwhelmed. he didn't know what to do. Finally, after minutes of silence interrupted by loudspeaker messages and hurried evacuees, he spoke. "I have decided that, due to the power I now have, we begin bombing Israel and Truitt."

The borders seemed more like warzones as both the Iraqi and Syrian borders were engaged by tense fighting.

The Truitti Air Defence Wings were still on their way, so air support would be a minimum. With it was the fact that Isreal had the same technology, if not worst, than the rest of the Middle Eastern nations.

The war seemed to hit a downhill as a large sand storm started to pile up along the Saudi-Syrian border.

Five miles west of Isreali-Syrian Border

A Syrian bomber squadron was flying at high altitudes just inside Isreal. Their target: Mousad. A large military complex that was Isreal's first and last line of defence agenst bombers. It currently held fighters and light bombers due to Truitt's demands to "house up" their military.

The bomber squadron, made of mianly Russian heavy bombers, pounded the airbase. Flames flew in the air as bodies of now-destroyed aircraft flew all around the base.

As if the problem could not get much worst, a Syrian Infantry Division had just broke an Isreali and Truitti blockade and was heading straight for the base.

A jetliner flying above the Mediterranean Sea
The short, balding man fidgeted around in his seat as the stewardess reached for the microphone. After saying a message in two other languages, the stewardess handed the microphone to one who apparently spoke Arabic, though heavily accented. The man wondered what the news was, for the Jewish passengers apparently looked startled.

"Attention all passengers. We regret to inform you that there has been a surge of violence in the Middle East. There have been several missile strikes on the nations of Syria and Iran, and with Israel's choice to be annexed by Truitt, there is a high possibility that there will be bombings in Israel. As a result, we will be unable to make our scheduled landing in Tel Aviv, as well as our continued service to Riyadh. Instead, we are now forced to detour and will immediately proceed to Jeddah. We are currently 800 miles from our original destination, and therefore it should take about three more hours to reach our destination. Truitt World Aviation greatly apologizes for this. If you need information regarding transport to your final destination, you may approach the help desk in Jeddah. We apologize for the inconvenience."

The balding man was stunned. This meant that his plan was ruined! Years of planning were about to be ruined. He remembered the day ten years ago, after he became a Swiss citizen, that he was approached by his brother, a low-level bureaucrat in his home country of Syria. When his brother told him what he wanted the balding man to do, he was stunned. Would it work? Even if I was Swiss now, would it really work? Wouldn't I be caught? Ten years of hard work, and now this.
Oh well. He bowed his head in prayer to Allah. After a few minutes, he procured the gun from the pocket inside his sweater. He knew no one would watch him, with the privacy of first class. He looked out the window one more time and saw nothing but dark blue. Good. He stood up and ran towards the cabin. A stewardess stopped him and spoke in French, but the balding man kept going. Up the stairs inside the plane he went, rounding the bend. He stopped, and paused in front of the door. Ominously, it was already open.

Syria
General al-Aharna was one of the last remaining in the compound, since it was being evacuated. He and Talani were waiting for the phone call. Then it rang. Talani picked it up.
"Hello?...Yes, yes....Good! And the last?...as expected..yes, yes... thank you."
al-Aharna looked at him. "Well?"
"We did it!" Talani came to the general and hugged him. They turned to a TV and turned it on.
"Breaking news...There has been a strange string of attacks. Just as Syrian troops rush northern Israel, a Syrian Christian bishop, Abner Mahfad, has had a seizure and died. In addition, there have been reports of a massive explosion at an oil refinery in the Arabian city of Dahran. Lastly, a Truitt World Aviation 747 from Zurich flying to Tel Aviv and then Riyadh has crashed into the Mediterranean Sea, killing all 350 people aboard. Among the dead were over 100 Israelis, 150 Truittians, and several Swiss. Ironically, it was on a detour to an emergency landing in Jeddah to avoid the conflict in Israel."

Sutondad, Iran

The coastal city was in ruins as both Osean and Royal Forces fought, with both having an equal chance. The Osea Federal Armed Forces (OFAF) and Osea State Air Force (OSAF) were for once cooperating on a single battlefield. Air strikes were turnning the tide of the battle that would mean the loss, or gain, of half of Iran.

The reason? Iran had built up a large military stronghold just outside the city, knowing that the Osean Forces would want to deliver a quick blow. The Iranian Leaders thought, with home advantage, that they could push back the hebrew forces into the gulf. They were wrong.

"Activating the GISS." Reported the 200,000 troops along the coastline as they activated their cloaking systems, making most of their chests invisible. They amm then aimed up their OSARs and scanned the area. Hostiles everywhere, there was no border. Behind, infront, beside, right around the corner.

Somehow the Iranian forces had surrounded the traffic line after it had stopped shipping troops to the coast, but this would be nearly impossable. "Fire at anything that is not friendly." Commanded the Commanders and Generals on the field as gun fire errupted over the silenced night.

A large-scale airstrike came in to "blanket the head," or drop as many small bombs as they could infront of the advance. The devistation had to be extreme, mainly becouse no bodies were seen except for a few half-intact figures inside storefronts.

The push in Iran was doing fine, and Iraq was putting up little to no fight due to being just out of a civil war with Irak.

Oured, Saudi Arabia

The Presidente watched in awe as the pictures from the 747-700 came in that it had crashed, probably due to terrorist attacks.

"Who cares about Iraq, they are dead anyways. I want all forces to concintrait on Syria now. Call in an other missle barrage, I want their capital leveled completely. Send a message saying 'give up and we will grant you freedom.' That should work."

Everyone nodded and began to work.

OOC: Time to get this one back in motion...

It had been over a week since the beginning of the war in the Middle East. Originally, it was a multinational war, with Truitt its ally Israel, and its many puppets waging war to unify the region. However, after short campaigns in Iran, the war turned to Syria. Afer several days of bombing, the nation's capital of Damascus lay in ruins, as millions of Syrians fled their homes, uncertain where to go. Meanwhile, Syrian forces continued to pour into northern Israel. They had recaptured the Golan Heights and the city of Nazareth and were now beginnning to capture Haifa, although here the Israeli forces were stronger. General al-Aharna continued to be isolated in a bunker deep under the desert, and the president was still in a bunker underneath the rubble of Damascus

Somewhere in Northern Israel

General Bossad, the field commander of the Syrian army, stood on top of the mountain and stared at the city through his telescope. The city was pretty much deserted, since Syrian forces had been bombing the city for almost an entire day nonstop. From spies in the city and from reconnaissance efforts, Bossad had learned that nearly 50,000 Israelis, an army the same size as his, was camped on the other side of the city. Oh well, he had bettter begin the invasion soon...

A bunker somewhere in Syria
General al-Aharna was sitting at a table in the secret bunker with Colonel Talani, a staff aide, and each of their wives. After finishing his meal, he rose and proceeded with Talani to the strategy table, showing a large map of the region.
"Colonel, what are the latest results from the border with Jordan?"
"Still no major breaks in the front. Pretty much just wavering back and forth."
"Last I heard, some 75 troops of our had been killed in the last 12 hours of yesterday."
"Hmmm. Well, I guess we'll have to move the 10th brigade..." He was interrupted as the door to the room opened. An elderly judge walked in. "Judge al-Kossar? What are you doing here?"
"General al-Aharna, I regret to inform you that the president has died. He apparently had a seizure of some sort. Since you are the vice president, I, as a justice of the Supreme Court, have the authority to swear you in as president of Syria."
The general looked stunned. "Well, if I am to be both a president and a general, then I will be one.

al-Farda, Syria

The borderline city was covered in ruins. Bomblett holes and smoke was covering the mass of the city's square and industrial centers. The residential centers, however, were rebuilt within that week. It was a camp for those who had fought and refused to surrender and are shot, or have surrendered.

They were all pushed into the small complex, a private one where upper class residences would be. There, they were locked and tould to stay put for 24 hours. Those who complied, would be set free into Truitti Citizenship. Those who tried to leave, would be killed.

Five hours past and most slept. Few even thought of breaking a window. So, the night was clear and setting to early morning.

As the sun rose, something black was seen in the sky. It was a TyH-A1 Kegbird.

The people thought it to be a supply plane, and took no attention. Even as it came near them with its main door open with a large Kegbomb, a 15,000lb (20,000lb actual), ready to be dropped.

They did not notice it when it hit right beside them, one of the five in the complex. Destroying them as if a tatical nuclear bomb was used.

Isreali Fighting
The 4th Isreali Defence Guard armed up and prepaired to fight the Syrians that were just north of them in Nazareth.
Some were equipped with Truitti Weapons, and some were going to be paradropped in a few hours after the fighting should begin.
They were prepaired.

Iran
The push had gone on switftly. Most of the coastline and about a hundred miles in had been claimmed. Few resistance remainned after a massive grouping of Iranian Forces was bombed heavily.

Somewhere in Syria
For weeks, the Syrian government under General Hafez al-Aharna had been hiding in a bunker underneath the desert. al-Aharna had been devastated by the news of the massive bombing of the city of al-Farda near the border and the rush of Truitti troops inside Syrian borders. Thousands upon thousands died there. In fact, he almost had to withdraw the Syrian army from its current campaign in Israel, where it had, after days of fighting, finally seized the city of Haifa. However, fighting was now clustered around Nazareth.

For the first time in days, al-Aharna stepped out of the bunker into the sunlight. He squinted, unable to adapt to the brightness. He surveyed the land around him. He didn't know what to expect, even if the enemies were brave enough to strike a major Syrian base. He looked around and saw the smoldering ruins of a major administrative building. After staring at the surroundings, he quickly marched into on eof the remaining buildings and awaited for the beginning of his first public speech as president.

"Good day, my fellow Syrians. As you may be aware, I have been sworn in as president of our country after the death of our president and vice president. We have evidence that they perished as a result of the frequent bombings of our nation. Other bombings have killed thousands upon thousands of Syrians. We, as a nation, must not give in to the hostile outside forces. It is necessary for our nation to exist!
As a result of the events in the last few days, I have found it necessary to take action. We already have commenced an invasion of israel and will continue to invade that nation. We have commenced missile strikes on several targets in Israel and Arabia. Thousands of our men are fighting to defend our borders outside the ruins of al-Farda.
I must express my deepest concern for the victims of the wartime disasters. All of us, as Syrians, are victims of the war. It is necessary to rise up and eliminate the threat of Truitt and its allies to our nation! I must therefore announce that our nation's involvement in this war will not end without the complete withdrawal of foreign troops from our soil and the end of Truitt's quest for the so-called Middle Eastern Unity. At this moment, we are beginning a new series of missile strikes and military campaigns. Syria shall live FOREVER!"

The Hague
Minar Hossan, the Syrian Representative to the European Union, returned to the assembly room after the European Parliament announced it had reached its decision on the issue of the war in the Middle East. Hossan spent almost six hours speaking on and responding to criticism of his country's request for aid and condemnation of Truitt's actions. If the EU supported him, it would mean a major diplomatic victory of Syria.
He listened for the verdict.
"The European Parliament has come to a vote on the proposed resolution recognizing Truitt and Israel as the agressors and Syria and Iran as the defendants in the war. The resolution also would impose sanction upon the named belligerents and produce large amounts of immediate aid in the initial form of food and medicine to the defendants. The European Parliament has voted 730 to 2 in favor of said resolution." Instantly, the parliament erupted into chatter. All Hossan could do was smile.
