Byzantium- United Kingdoms of Nicea and Byzantium

On this great day, the young King Lassdonius has declared a campaign of reform throught the entire region of his kingdom. Over the period of his reign, paved roads will be created, connecting all major cities within Turkey so that trade goods and military forces can move more quickly and efficently.

Furthermore, the government will concetrate on the development of more efficent agricultural and irrigation practices to cure the long legacy of poor farming and famine within the United Kingdoms. One of the foremost projects to help cure this problem will be the creation of aqueducts, so that water may be transported to areas that truly need it.

Even the small military that protects our dilligent citizens will be raised to further glory. Hundreds of new armories will be created and more than 5,000 citizens will be called up for duty. The new Byzantium Infantry and Calvary will be trained by veteran soliders in a 1 lunar rotation cycle program, involving all sorts of rigorous tasks for these new recruits to accomplish.

Of course, this project will cost a fortune and taxes will be raised accordingly and certian government posts will be cut, so that we valiant Turks may prosper in the coming times.

I hope all of you will aid this time of great reform, so that our great people may forever live in wealth and prosperity.

The Seleucid Empire had previously hoped to be able to acquire it's true territory, but the presence of Turks in Byzantium has proven to be too large a roadblock.
Byzantium must be in Seleucid hands!
We have no quarrel with your country or your people, but the city of Byzantium and the land immediately surrounding it must be turned over to Greeks, or we will be forced to go to war.
This must be done to assure the safety of our homeland.

The Ahl Al-Ibel Bedou Empire
The six great tribes of Arabian Bedouins united, after many centuries of intertribal war.
The six tribes under the leadership of the Koriesh tribe and a council of the leaders of the other five tribes have begun a move to unify the Arabian lands.
Mobilizing the vast armies of the Bedouin, to clear the lands of Kuwait and of the Emirates of the undeserving.

The Ashtani tribe tribe has mobilized seventy-five thousand camelry and thirty-thousand light foot to cleanse the lands of Kuwait.
They move from South of Al Hufuf, all those who surrender peacefully will be spared.

Aeolus of Illyria looked out over his army and was pleased with what he saw. Even though most of the shields were damaged the men were happy and ready to crush the last rebelious state: North Dalmatia (OOC-West Croatia).

The campaign of Unification had gone well and now only one City State opposed Aeolus' rule. But soon they would be starved into submission.

OK I'd also like to make sure everyone knows you can create your own threads. Which will be posted here in the first post. Also this place is good for stating stuff that isn't long enough to start a whole new thread. Other than that good luck.

BRITTANIA
A Brittanian Tribal Leader had marched with an Army of 300 for nearly 3 years. the elder left the Army when they neared Roman Lands. He went alone into the Borders of Rome to talk with whom ever led it. As the elders were not familiar with Roman Society.

The Britanian Elder was siezed by Guards and he begged to be given the chance to talk to someone anyone. But no one knew if the Romans would answer his cries.

SPAIN

The Spanish were arming themselves as they knew peace could not reign forever. Rebels were everywhere and must be stopped, it was only a matter of time.

I believe tht our two Kingdoms should live in harmony with each other, but unfotuantley we cannot give over the entirety of Byantium to your nation. Not only does it provide us with acsess to valuble trade routes, but our current reigning government lies within its old city walls. It would be simply immpossible to give it up.

However, I we do have proposition for your nation. The united Kingdoms of Byzantium and Nicea will reign control over the eastern half of the city, while the western half shall be ceded over to the Seleucid Empire. Both sides shall would not be able to deploy military assets within or near the city, so that those with more tryannical thoughts may not take advantage of the situation. Furthermore, all tariffs and trade expenses accumulated by merchants will be evenly split between the two controlling nations.

I hope you will agree to our rather generious offer so that we may continue to cooperate in peace and harmony.

King Lassdonius

Honestly, I was pretty set on taking Turkey, as it is home to the true Seleucid Empire, but . . . touché
Your offer is both clever and generous. I planned on invading anyway, but I would feel stupid passing this up for an indefinite solution in war.
We still harbor ambitions to take what is rightfully ours in the middle east, but Lachenburg shall not be included.
We hope this treaty leads to warm relations down the road, and accept your offer.

Aeolus had captured the remaining rebels in his realm and now, looking to the future decided to attempt an alliance with Rome.

Aeolus's youngest son, Euripydes looked out over the Ocean across at Italia and wondered what the Roman reaction to him would be.

Gaius Decimus Brutius looked opon the 20,000 troops the glorious nation of Rome had under its baner. All were eager for the fight to come.

"The Helviti tribes have invaded our lands, drive them out! LEAVE NO BARBARIAN ALIVE!" the men all cheered.
"They come to take our lands, lands which our ancestors all eagerly defended with courage. You are their offspring. Their blood and flesh. Surley courage roars in your veigns too!" The men all cheered raising their arms in the air. The general suluted and strode off to suprivise the engineers. They were building several catapults and archer lines so the Helviti would be forced onto the attack. After several minuets of preparations, he had the archers and the infantry take their positiong. Gaius Decimus Brutius mounted his hourse and toured the lines. His bodyguards mounted up and followed suit. The green rolling Italian hills were swaying with various prickly plants and burnt grass from the summer. Birds were chirping... no wait... they arn't. Gaius Decimus Brutius glanced around quickly. Something was missing. Something was wrong.
"Calvary! On me!" Gaius Decimus Brutius said and waved his sword in the air. Thousands of fleet hourses galloped over a near hill. Gaius Decimus Brutius urged his hourse forward and the 5,000 calvary followed suit. The calavery galloped towards a large ridge a little to the north.
*DDDUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUMMMMMMMPPPPPPPP!*
Horns filled the air. Lines of naked barbarians carrying only sheilds and sowrds scrambled to the top of the hill. They were making a ruckus, banging sword and sheild together while yelling and screaming. Gaius Decimus Brutius halted the calvery and jumped off his hourse. Grabbing his bow from his back, he drew a arrow from his quiver and marked a lond and brash barbarian. He let the arrow fly and the arrow struck its mark. the suprised barbarian let out a small gurgle and collapsed to the ground, dead. All of the barbarians stopped making a ruckus and looked at their fallen comrade. Then they all rose up screaming and charged the line of clavery at the base of the himm. Gaius Decimus Brutius leaped onto his hourse and ordered the calv back behind their lines. They went slow enough to keep the barbarians in tow. When near the lines, the archerey commander made the signal to take aim. The calvery crashed through the armored soldiers, just in time to get out of the path of the cloud of arrows racing towards them. The barbarians realized too late that they were led on as the arrows fell thick upon their ranks. They were attempting to form up in disorder as the archers proceeded to fire at will. The legionaires picked one of their 2 pilum and threw it at the barbarians. The abrbarians that were not killed by the spears had their sheilds ruined so they abondened them. A few tried to pick up the throwing spears and hurl them back, but the soft metal core of the pilum was already bent from the initial throw; therefore making them unusable. the archers stopped firing and with a great cheer, the infantry rushed forward, cutting the barbarians down in swaths as they possessed no armor and some had no sheilds. Gaius Decimus Brutius reeled his calvery around the enemy formation and charged into their ight flank. Soon clavery were spearing men left and right. it was a complete massacare. At the end of the day, 30,000 unwashed barbarians from the north lay dead, with 200 legionaires dead. It was a great victory worthy of a great general; Gaius Decimus Brutius.

The helviti were routed and Gaius Decimus Brutius marched his army back to Rome, at the summons of the Senate. The senate were proud of their gallant general and wished to reward him.
"You are to march on the heliviti homelands. Tkae their towns then send word when you have."
"Yes my lord."
And so, Gaius Decimus Brutius set out with his army towards victory and glory. Perhaps.

Noble Senators of Rome, i wish to present to you a barbarian cheif from the north. He has gone through many perils to reach this place, even bringing an army of 300 to our very borders.

A senator stood up.
"Perhaps you should show him in. We are after all, marching on the evil Helviti tribes and could use their assistance. Bring him in. We should forge an alliance with him."

As the Elder entered the room he ws astonished with the clothes they wore. He then stood there as if frozen in time. After much debating he spoke:

"I have come here to seek the help of Romans."

He step forward a bit.

"We have plans to invade the Guals, but our armies are small, and we are invading with our ally the Iberians. However the Union of Brittania cannot be confirmed until we succesfully connect by land. Currently we are reduced to an Island. But with the Guals gone we will have more than that. Our leader wishes to ask what price we must pay you for your aid?"

The men stepped back and looked at the faces of the men.

Rebel Roman commander Tarquinius Apollonius gazed out at the desert men called Egypt. Apollonius had withdrawn from Romn Domination, but now felt he needed an ally. Where else to turn to, with war looming eery. Egypt needed help. Fast. And that was the only direction in which to shout for aid.

Dear Romans,

It has been a long time since I left your domination. The Mediterranean is on the brink of war. May not our two nations, like pillars holding up a temple to Jupiter, stand together in case other nations wear themselves out fighting? Thus, I propose alliance.

Senators wispered for a while. Again, a senator stood up after the debating was done:
"We will aid you. But first we must eliminate the Helviti tribe who hae attacked us time and time again."

"Therefore, we propose an alliance and trade routes. We also ask permission to march in your lands."

We do not need aid. Trade routes are all we need for now. Will a pact-of-defense and a right-of-passage-agreement suffice?
