Grand Field Marshal stumbled from his office/living quarters, still buttoning his jacket and ran to a the 2nd floor balcony and overlooked the massive digital map of the world on the IMAX size screen. The Imperator strode down the hall to his office. As he engaged, the guards on either side of his office opened the massive 20 foot polished oak doors and closed them behind him. He answered the phone. They talked for about 40 minutes time as a maid dressed him and he walked inront of a camera with the Nycton flag behind him, the next room over from his office for short notice broadcasts.

the FLYC(which wont participate in battle unless extremely needed) began to form defenses, The airforce performed constant patrolls and the navy was its highest alert from the recent conflict with TFU, Bomb shelters were readied incase of any kind of raid. For now, I am sending Infantry Divisions 30-32 (15,000 men) and the second armored division. Also:

12 Currier Class Cruisers
17 Latin Class Destroyers
13 Lapillus Class Submarines
4 Desert Class Aircraft Carriers

The 3-7th Aircraft divisions will also accompany them. (50 fighters, 10 bombers)

OOC: I concur. I've been reading Hataria's rps as of late, and it seems like he sincerely tries to avoid godmodding in the first parts of the roleplays but he is later forced to godmode, to survive, after the dogpile.

Seriously, give Hataria some space to work with. Maybe if it was a one-on-one war with FL, Hataria could gain some good rp experience. But the other nationstates on this board aren't giving him a chance to rebuild his reputation by dogpiling and forcing him to godmod to preserve his sovereignty.

Hataria, if you want your war to be seen as 'legitimate' by the rest of the nationstates community, it's a good idea to explain, IC, why you are going to war. For example, the human rights abuses that other players have stated.

Suppose the minimum troop limit for invaders is about 600,000 troops max.

And max navy size = 100 ships per nation.

Max airforce size = 1,000 planes per nation.

600,000 troops times 20 nations = 12 million combat troops for Hataria to defend aganist.

100 ships times 20 nations = 2,000 ships.

1,000 aircraft times 20 nations = 20,000 aircraft.

That sounds quite overwhelming. Get my drift?

Also, if we limit the number of allies to 3 - 5 per side, it eliminates the n00bs and such from the RP. These n00bs who either numberwank, nukkor j00, RP horribly, etc.

However, there are some nations that throw around a million troops or more for invasions. Notably the 2003 nations, or some bold 2004 nations.

Do you remember the Hataria Mammalia war? DA, ITD, Nazi Weaponized Virus, etc. sent in millions of troops for invasion.

Thats the thing that drives Hataria to god-mod because the odds are so horrible, like 1 to 20 ratio of military. When faced with extremely unfair odds like that, it is perfectly understandable when players god-mod to preserve their nations for future RP'ing.

If I start up a war RP, and state the ally limit. Then more people dogpile, I will literally and practically I.G.N.O.R.E. them to preserve the quality of the RP, even though I hate ignoring people.

This is true. War is indeed unfair.

BUT you're forgetting two very important things.

First, you aren't eliminated, truly defeated, or removed from NS if you lose a war. Your nation continues to exist regardless of the war.

Second, RP'ing is supposed to be fun and something to enjoy reading. The RP'ing is part of the NS game, and in any game, let it be video game, board game, card game, etc... fairness ensures a productive game "session" while cheating and unfairness ruins the fun and game experience.

If your spacetech, don't plan on using it on Modern/Post-Modern nations in wars. It's just not fair. Either use modern equipment or stick with future-tech threads.

OOC: A major criticism I've seen of Hataria's invasions are the hell he has worked on his economy by his frequent invasions. I'm in too many threads right now to join a full war on Hataria's side at this time, or I wold, just for the fun of the RP. 8. 1 large urban hospital's worth of medicinal supplies, medicines, radiograghy equipment, etc.

9. 3,000,000 packs of C-Rations and MRE's for your troops

10. 200,00 small arms (rifles, sub-machine guns, pistols, grenades and grenade launchers, etc., our choice of the make and model) for your soldiers.

11. 2,500 RPG launchers with 1 grenade each.

We are also willing to guarrantee financing of up to an additional $10 billion dollars for your war efforts.

We ask the following in return for this aid package:

1. return of all equipment not used in the war or that is not totally destroyed in the conflict

2. A guarrantee of complete non-agression against us in the future

3. OOC: I personally support keeping this down to three on three. Those with the biggest oomph on each side get to keep this going to the end. If we want to see Hataria expand his RPing abilities, could we at least TRY to make it so he doesn't have to resort to godmoding?

Lets try to make this a fair conflict, at least. That way he can lose (or win! That'd be a surprise, and truth be told ya might wanna think about rewarding him somewhat if his RPing turns out at least halfway decent) FAIRLY.

I've got troops in FL, so I think I should be one of the three.

Can always just do it anyway. Just cuz it doesn't say its closed shouldn't automatically give license to every single country that "Wants a Piece" to charge in with guns blazing.

Sorry, I must disagree with you.

Perhaps Hataria doesn't understand these protocols yet. Closed RP's lack dynamic stuff like in open RP's, and what better way to gain hands on experience than in open RP's?

I believe that open RP's with certain limitations would work. For example, the first 5 people who post that they want to war with Hataria will be Alliance A.

The first 5 people who post they support Hataria will be Alliance B.

He has a right to do what he likes until he violates the rights of others. Just because he is the leader of his country does not mean he owns his people, they have rights and freedoms just like anyone else, and when the government that is supposed to protect them violates those rights someone else must step in. Just as people have a responsibility to the government of their country to obey its laws (to a point an unjust law does not have to be obeyed) the government has a duty and a responsibility to ensure that ALL of its citizens are free, and safe. I know it sounds cheesey but with great power comes even greater responsibility. Someone has to be the police here, the fact that innocent people are dying at the hands of the government that is supposed to protect them gives me that right, however I will hold action until I hear from their new leader, and the our other allies, as our forces are too small to take fruityloops on their own. BTW, you might want to make sure you've read the thread, a lot has been said in your abscence. You have a major offer of assistance from my nation for instance. I might think twice about the ICBM's with high explosive warheads though, that might be viewed as bordering on the WMD ban imposed in this thread. It is definitely not nice as it kills too many innocent civilians and doesn't take out just military/government targets. But, it might be a good way to start a war, by the heavy damage it would inflict, but it could incite your opponent's surviving population into a frenzy aimed at you and boosting their ability to fight. I don't know, I"ll let ya'll worry about that.

If civilian casualties become too high we in Elvindis may be forced to rethink our position. Not that our military contribution will make much of a diffrence, but its the thought that counts, however we are sending our best doctors and medics to treat all people who are injured in this fight, we hope that both Hataria and Fruityloops give them free passage through the war front as this is a humanitarian aid only and we pledge upon our honor that they will carry no weapons we hope both sides will want to minimize the death toll in this conflict.

MY people today we face a grave threat the nation of Golencia has decided to declare war upon our nation, this unprovoked war will not go unpunished though we are out numbered we will fight to defend our freedoms our civil rights, and our national integrity.

As the president speaks despite their fear despite their aprehension the people cheer they know that they will suffer and that many brave soldiers will die but never will they surrender never will they give in for all know that freedom is something that must be fought for.

As the Golencia navy begins its blockade, within moments of arriving at the shores of Elvindis explosions rock the 2 lead ships and just as suddenly as begun the atack ends, as the submarine responsible once again activates its stealth and streams away leaving a message more potent than words that despite being a nation of only twenty million they have teeth.

And the bit about America not haveing that many abrams, America also doesnt have as many people as I do. When your population is half of that of the RL world, then you would have more military than that of the US. BTW, please, in the future, DO NOT tell me what to do.

I have also officially ignored this war also. Hataria, there is no way that you could destroy all his ships. First of all it is a godmod for you to say that his entire navy is destoryed, its a godmod to even say one bit of damage. Also, ships have AA guns, to shoot down planes, for that reason.

The Airborne F/A-18s and F-35s engage in combat with the Kamikaze Pilots. Meanwhile the remaining F-35s took off to join up with their comrades and A Fierce air battle took place and several Air Crafts were lost And ship damages.
