The riots and rebellion began small but it grew to a real civil war. We have found out who they are and why they do it. The persons behind it (played by Sirens of Titan) are drug barons and want to get rid of the government because they wage a relentless war on harddrugs. Our intelligence has learned that they use the local population who is against Credonia and allies as their army and feed them all sorts of drugs which makes them insane and bloodthirsty. That can be seen in the first link I gave ya.

Summary of what happened
1) First signs of a rebellion, 4500 people were slaughtered in the jungle.
2) Senior Tour Bus destroyed, 60 people dead.
3) Message from what appeared to be their leader.
4) State of emergency declared in the Southern Province
5) 9000 soldiers sent to keep the peace; command center set up in Volta
6) 12 citizens killed in the most horrific way
7) Soldiers and Rebels fighting - this continues

We really need help here. The jungle isn't a playground for normal troops we need specialists who can help us out here. It's only a matter of days when the city Volta falls in rebel hands. If that happens then they have a strong base of operations. They have already bombed the city with artillery they found in old bunkers left behind by Catania-Marinov when they defended the Great Fish River fortification.

Ii could send some of the 4th shock trooper battalion, they are experts at Jungle warfare

I could send in my Transports to drop some more infantry straight in to the most badly affected areas so they can kill all resistance.

A power armoured warrior sprinted towards a HP scouting patrol "Don't shoot! I'm one of the UA marines! They got us! Please don't shoot!" His armour was dented and scorched. He had no weapon and as he had no helmet, it could be seen that blood dripped down the side of his head.

Volta has fallen into rebel hands!

After a long and bloody fight the military left Volta. We are unsure wether is was an order from the commander there or panic. Many soldiers have been killed during the run and other have been left there to die. A reporter from HP-TV heard the following:

It was insane! They were everywhere, I don't know what the hell happened but suddenly there was artillery fire and the command center exploded. We had to leave the wounded there because there wasn't any time to help them... We haven't heard from them since so we can only fear for the worst. They had taken us completely by surprise. We noticed it was too late when they came pouring out of the hills around the city. We can only hope other nations can aid us before it's too late...

The marine ran with them, yelling out "Fall back! Run away! Get some backup!"

Underwater Asylum, we pull back our statement to leave our country. We really need your help.

The UA soldier who came running towards us was being shot in the head by a sniper. His head cracked open and brains splashed out. A 20 mm gun was being placed and started to fire at several spots. Loud screams could be heard. The soldiers check it out and many bodies laid in the small stream. The few "lucky" ones who survived it earned a shot in the head. 23 rebels were dead. Some blood samples were taken to a hospital. All cocain addicted.

"Call some backup... Don't let them wiiiiii......" He choked out. In his hands was a comm frequency. It was for Strike Force Gamma-Phi-34

More rebels seemed to be there. A radio operator received this from the front line:

This is BLAH squad 123, we do NOT hold the line I repeat we need help right now

The 20mm gun turned around when a group of rebels came running towards them. When the gun started shooting at them, limbs were shot off and many rebels fell down dead. The small squad was surrounded byt the rebels, and help was nowhere to be seen.

A rapid fire weapon burst from the trees. A black figure moved quickly, firing all the time. The shells exploded when they hit something (Yep, it's my treacherous sergeant)

SHOOT THE BASTARDS DAMNIT

Three 9mm grenades exploded from where the firing came, and a cloud of blood splashed away. When the soldiers checked it out, only a head, 3 fingers and an eye were found. The rest had been squashed to the trees. When one of the men bent over to find the weapon, he was being shot in head. Now the group was surrounded by the rebels. This was their last radio message:

We can only hope it will be over soon. Please let our families know we love them very much. We will probably never see them again. God be with us and the ones who also die here.

The radio connection was kept open and machinegun fire could be heard in the distance. Then it was all silent in the jungle.

Today a large military expedition and researchers went out to search for the rebels. All they found were maimed bodies and half dead people. Most of them were killed by the soldiers just to put them out of their misery. A photographer has made a few photo's of what happened there.

The open space were the 90 bodies were found. The stench of death was everywhere, we all had the feeling of being watched all the time. Death could be around every tree in this godforsaken place.

A man maimed by the rebels. Apparantly they didn't have time to torture him because of his beliefs in politics. He was alive when we found him. Only death could bring him relief of his pain.

Originally, we were planning to deploy our 12th, 14th and 57th Infantry division, well-trained in jungle warfare. However, given the recent turn of events (the rebel capture of the city of Volta), we are willing to deploy 1,500 troops, 30 attack helicopters (DA-237 Artemis'), 50 APC's (BTR-90UM) and 20 self-propelled howitzers (PzH 2000). They will be transported to your country either by heavy transport (An-225, An-124) or by helicopter from one of our ships that will traverse to your country (ship to be deployed as yet undecided).

All we need is confirmation from the Holy Panooly government.

Thank you. An-225's are now taking off from the Andre City Air Force Base carrying the first delivery of troops and equipment.

This will continue daily (RL time every minute) until all has been deployed safely.

Urgent News

Today, we have witnessed one of the most cruel and stomach turning things ever seen. This was all caught on tape, it was filmed while the rebels were lynching soldiers from Cam III. The film shows how rebels (15 men) are throwing rocks at them, cutting off fingers. One of the victims eyes has been plucked out and then mud and maggots are pushed into the empty eye socket. We are still unsure but it seems it's some kind of demonic ritual or a sacrifice. The men were finally thrown into a pit filled with poisonous insects.
All of this has been captured on film. These people must be stopped.

HP could someone drop a sleeping gas bomb or a virus barrel on Volta so troops could move in and face little or no resistance?

Also negative, we don't know if there are still civilians in the city. We should attack Volta during the night when we have lots of cover from the jungle. The city is one big ruin so it won't be difficult to recapture it. I hope.

We have to do this by force, not to destroy the whole city. As long as we don't have all the information we need, we wait with the bombings.

In the meantime the killing goes on by the rebels. They have taken hostages and we have received this message:

When we get our our land with our laws and rules we will continue the killings. You have 2 weeks to give it or you will pay in blood. While we talk your crazy soldiers are killing my men. Stop now or for each of my rebels you have killed, we kill 10 citizens randomly. It could be children, men, women... We don't care, since the government never cared for us.

The Imperium is sending 3 companies of Space Marines, 300 hundred men and 210 vehicles in total. We shall support the ruling goverment of HP, but will mainly be protecting Astratesites living in HP.

My troops have surronded Volta's main entrance/exit and set up the 10 Mobile Gun System MAVs. On the way to HP are 10 Armored Medical Evacuation Vehicle to help with evacuating the wounded from the city when we take it. Thank you for the money it will be used for reasurching better medical reasorces to help in the future.

We have placed 255mm Howitzers in strategic places in the jungle and the men are surrounding the city. We hope they don't have AP tanks in there, or we're fucked. We can't see them from above (our satellites) because of the camouflage so we can only guess.

After recieving substantial intelligence of an impending attack on our military base in the Panooly Jungle, somewhere near Volga, watches on our sentry boxes have been TRIPLED. All people's setting foot on the base grounds will be shot without warning.

OOC: If you dont know much about my base, then consider it to be a compund right, in the middle of a 5km barren square, which allows me to see any incoming people from the jungle.

A frontal assault would be mean suicide... So we can't do that. Luckily we got hold of documents in Volta about what's in there and what's not. The biggest problem are the missiles with the 150 KM range.

All 10 tanks formed a line and procceded to enter Volta city. The infantry followed them int the city. The tanks started searching for targets but there was no one about.
"Where are they?" Commander Dante questioned.
Suddenly there was a hail of fire from the nearby buildings. Troops dived for cover and shooted back. 28 soilders fell to the ground.
"Those damn basterds are in the buildings!"

25 kroot warriors dashed towards the building. 14 of them fell.

Hundreds of rebels were hiding in the buildings and shooting at them with everything they could get.

Meanwhile the HP Artillery units started to bombard the city. Howitzers, Heavy Artillery and Siege Cannons were all shooting at the city.

HP, you may remember me saying that one small divison of marines would be sent to help you out. My intelligence reports from the marines stated that an important rebel commader was iin a village on the outskirts of Volta. The marnies were ambushed and three were killed. The survivers told the Commmder and Cheif this report...

"The marine divison moved easterly into a deverstated village. HP soldiers and rebel bodies lay sprawled all over the village and smoke billowed from a near by pillbox. The marines moved in slowly towards the village hospital to check for potential survivers."

"Heck! This place is a bloody grave yard," The marine commader said in a disgusted voice as they got nearer the hospital. "Keep sharp, the enemy may still be around."

The commader wasn't wrong, on the top of the hospital, a rebel mator squad lay in wait. Opposite them, a rebel squad of fighters awaited the commad to open fire. Both teams were covered in camoflage.

"Don't fire untill the motars open fire." this sentence was short lived. The motar squad opened fire on the marines.


Huge Explosions erupted around the startled marines.

"Holy cow!! Motars on the hospital!! Tango squad!! Send them to helll!! We'll cover you!!!"

The marines hit the gound and opened fire on the hospital, bullets kept the motar teams heads down.
The rebel fire squad came out of hiding and ran towards the marines with guns blazing. Half of the rebels shots found their home target as one marine fell to the ground in a mangled mess.

"Marines!!! Enemy to the right!!! Kill the prats!!! kill them all!!!" said the now mortified commder. The remaining nine marnies now concentrated there fire power on the rebel fire squad, downing at least eight in a hail of bullets.

Another marnie fell in the fire fight and so did the one next to him. The rebels had lost a third of their little force in the village but battled on.

"Sir, these idiots don't know when to quit!! They just keep coming asking for it!"
The commader look up to the fellow marine and to the bodies of his commrades.
"That may be true. But this bloody comader does know when to quit!! I will not risk the lives of my men to a rag- tag band of rebels!! PULL OUT!! WE'RE GETTING CLOBBERED!!!!".
"Yes sir!! TANGO, ALPHA PULL BACK INTO THE HOSPITAL!!! I assume we'll regroup in there?".
"That we will. Come on. Lets get outta here before we all die. HP forces will here of this engagement. They'll pick us up."

They were picked up, four of them, the others died in a fire fight in the hospital.

HP, these rebels mean buisness. If you could localize were their drug shipment is, i'd be glad to eddradicate it for you.

The 7th Mechanized moves down a major highway, with it's units spread out in formation. They utilize both sides of the highway, easily maneuvering around the occasional destroyed vehicle and shell crater. The entire unit is formed as a large-scale convoy, with the combat cars and hoverjeeps protecting the APCs and support units in their midst. The entire formation is proceeding at about 80 km/hour.

"Estimated time of arrival to the area south of Volta: 2 1/2 hours."

"Roger that. Close up the formation and keep an eye out. Supposedly this area is controlled by the drug lords..."

Don't let your gaurd down Axis Nova, the rebels arn't stupid, and since you're on to the drug lords; they're gonna be high on solvents lord knows what else.

The surviving marines jumped up at a start, they could here tanks rumbling towards the Stevid Command camp on the out skirts of Volta.

"Sir! Rebel tanks are coming our way!"

The commader stood straight up with a look that said "We are doomed."
"Why are they coming this way??".

"The HP forces are bombarding the city, they must be coming this way to out flank them!"

"Dear God almighty! We've got four marines, five tanks, and three anti- tank/personal weapon teams and we've got to hold the line?!"

"Yes sir."

The commader turned away and leaned on his desk and sighed. After a small pause he turned back around.

"Then for God's sake and our allies in arms sake, we have to hold the bloody line HERE!!!".

Stevid, we suspect the shipments leave for the world in Theohuanacu. We are not sure but we're close the some answers.

In the meantime in Volta at the rebel's HQ

And in the blink of an eye a whole building exploded by HP artillery fire, many rebels fell to ground and were dead immeadiatly...

Four M1A2 tanks were moving in the Stevid flank the machineguns started to fire at them.

We have a detachment of special forces, two saber squads (SAS acquivilent), on standby if you require them. I would provide air support but they are busy defending an allies hospital ship.

Dispatches the Xian guard, special forces, to Holy panooly. These should be of assistance. A MASH unit was also dispacted and will arive soon.

The armada of attack helicopters and APC's were transported to a field outside Volta, used as a temporary airbase for Andrehervian forces. At 00.00, they began to advance towards the East side of the city in an effort to sneak up undetected.

Estimated time of arrival to Volta is 02.00 (RL time 8pm BST).

The troops started moving forward, after their first encounter with the rebels, keeping a eye out for movement. They stopped of at a T-junction and took up defencive positions and a small number of troops were getting ready to go down one of the roads.

At the Sentry Box, it was midday, and Private Illian was looking out over the landcape. Nothing had changed for hours now, and he was getting bored. Nevertheless, he had recieved his orders, and shifted his weight to a more comfortable position. Taking a bite of a sandwhich, he continued to watch the landscape outside....

OOC: Secret: FYI Holy Panooly, You will find that I actually flew in missiles into the base secretly (and I did RP it). These new missiles have a ability to hit any target inside Holy Panooly, much further than 150km, and I do have nuclear warheads inside the base still... But that was both OOC, and Secret, so you couldnt possibly know that...

TAG - I want to keep an eye on this and possibly, with your permission, HP, get involved if need be - just say the word and I'll dispatch forces, until then I'll just watch this develop...

The 150 Soldiers started to move out down the left hand road. The soilders expected to be ambushed, but they were walking for 10 minutes and they found nothing.

'Hmm, they could have pulled back to a better place to make a good resistance." The Commander said. "We had better check it out. Hodgens, get down to the end of this road and see hats around the corner."
"Yes sir"
Hodgens ran down to the end of street and peerered around the corner and suddenly he came running back.

"There are about 50 rebels around the corner."

Deep in the jungle, the group of Rebels who stole offical government clothes from a warehouse in Volta fled before the attacks...

Do we have everything? The papers with the signatures? Clothes? No weapons of course and the diplomatic truck. Everything is in order.

Yup, killing all the people must have scared them so they'll guard their fortress extra heavy. But I have to say, it's very wicked of the government to place an AU base in the middle of a drugprovince. When it's gone we have no one bothering us anymore.

02.00, East Volta

The 50 APC's Andrehervia had deployed to Holy Panooly slowly rumbled into the city. Compared to the screams, explosions and gunshots on the other side of the city, this sector was silent.

"I don't like this one bit." muttered the driver of a BTR-90UM when an RPG-7 rocket slammed into his vehicle. Outside, the other APC's turned their fire onto the building where the rocket came from. About a hundred AK47's were being fired out of the office block and the soldiers were have difficulty fighting back in the intense darkness.

As the burning BTR-90UM pulled away, the buzz of a DA-237's rotor blades began to appear. The intense gunfire from the building began to die down as the DA-237 began to fire its 30mm turreted cannon at the hapless soles who chose to stand and fight. Fighters began to flee, some out of the front entrance. Fire from an APC put them down as the DA-237 fired it's rockets at the exits of the building, trapping hundreds inside.

Andrehervian troops began to advance towards the few entrnaces left free by the helicopter.

OOC: If anyone is RPing the rebels, state losses and maybe RP the commotion in the building. If not, I'll do it later.

A Thunderhawk Gunship soared over the Stevid Flank, intending to provide backup.

145 rebels were dead and 53 wounded. Some managed to escape into the jungle and left the city they tried to defend but to no avail. In other parts of the city there's still lots of fighting going on...

Onto the part were the rebels go to AU base.
(They know the whole treaty and what should be in there and what not. They robbed all the important documents from the city of Volta right after they conquered it so it's very likely something like that happens in the chaos of a civil war.)

I made the phonecall. They accepted our offer and look forward to the meeting in their base. They agreed to let inspect it and have a nice chat with them

They tried to track our location but I redirected the signal to Panooly City.

The driver of the truck saw the jeeps coming and he stopped.

Remember, don't do anything stupid and remain friendly at all times.

As the truck stopped, the Jeeps all rushed to surround it. The trucks with the convoy, and troops unloaded out the back numbering 30. Quckily, the troops moved to surround the vehicle, with guns raised and pointed t the truck.

Leuitenant Commander Jason Etheridge jumped out of the lead Jeep (with the flags). Approaching the truck's driver's window, he had two escort troops, who had their guns pointed at the driver.

"Hello. My name is Leuitenant Commander Jason Etheridge. You have illegally entered onto Austarian Soil. Could I please see your papers?"

Of course you may see our papers. The HP government has sent us from Sine to check this area for weapons that may fall within the wrong hands, such as the rebels. We have already found lots of munition left behind in one of the many pillboxes scattered around in the area.

All the men gave their passports and necessary papers to the Lieutenant.

We have specific orders to check the base wether you're in defiance of the treaty or not and to look if the security is all right - the usual stuff. You know the drill.

Are your troops future tech level or modern tech?

Sort of modern, but some equipment is still in the prototype stages at the moment so it is about four years advanced on current technologies, what with saftey testing and such. Also some equipment are of my own design and are more anacronistic, eg dual autocrossbows (silent alternative to assualt rifles but heavier).

Ic: The MASH unit and troops are in your country and available at anytime.

I will however take your trip into consideration, and you can stay in the Exterior compound if you wish to stay the night..."

OOC: Actually there is very valid reason. HP is in civil war, so the base has raised security. All of a sudden, some random guys rock up claiming to be from the HP government asking to inspect the site, while no prior organisation or agreement was made about inspections? The group of 40 men ran through the devastated city and trying to avoid the unending bombardment of the HP troops.

Two blackhawk helicopters land on the outskirts of Volta. Camoflauges troops with M16's fastline out and surround the area, ready to provide cover for the incoming MASH unit.

The troops spread out as several light transport Helicopters and Medivac Chopper land between the black hawks.

The leader of the troops runs towards the leader of the CamIII forces.

"Xian Guard, Zeon Guard and fifth mobile army surgery hospital, requesting orders and a place to set up camp."

East Volta, 02.20

Having secured the bottom 10 floors, Andrehervian forces continued up the 17 storey building. The soldiers positioned themselves outside floor 11 and prepared for attack. Lieutenant Fred Mason pulled out a stun grenade and positioned himself to kick the door down.

After three heavy hits, the door broke open and the primed grenade thrown into the building.

"What the hell?"

"Oh crap! Everyone down!"

The grenade went off with a blinding flash and a terrific noise. The troops went in. Three rebels who avoided the blast were the first to be encountered and they went down under a burst of gunfire. To the front, left and right of the group were 14 rebels who succumbed to the blast and surrendered. They continued onward, putting down another 12 rebels with relative ease.

"Christ, will these people ever learn to shoot straight?" Lieutenant Mason wondered, staring at the lifeless body of another statistic. Suddenly, Mason was startled when a warriors scream hit him and was tackled down from the left by a rebel.

"DEATH TO THE COLLABORATOR!" shouted the rebel. It was to be the last thing he heard when he glanced at the grenade in the rebel's hand.

The blast tore through a quarter of the floor, killing Mason and two other soldiers and wounding 6 soldiers and 10 captured rebels.

Meanwhile, the drivers of the 6 APC's moving Eastwards glanced up to look at the blast coming out of the office. Soldiers in the back murmered with each other uneasefully whilst the APC's drove faster towards the centre of the city.

Following the standoff inside Volta, the following equipment will be sent to Holy Panooly to reinforce our soldiers.

most of the troops jumped in to the APC's while the rest took up defencisive postions by the buildings. The tanks started to move to the rebels with the APC's following. The turrets of the tanks turned to face the rebels and opend fire on them. 2 minutes later there was no fire coming from the rebels position. All the troops disembarked and started to dismantel th C-4 and scout for any more rebels in there immidiate position.

"Retreat Retreat! If the siege of Volta has stopped then we should retreat back to the entrence and wait to see what will happen then."
Cam III's forces retreated back to where the started but set up gun posts with 5 men at them to kill any rebels who tried to get more of Volta back.

The rebels looked down on the running Cam III soldiers and began to celebrate the retreat of Cam III and the day the HP soldiers stopped serving the government.

The Axis Nova regiment finally arrives outside the city of Volta, and immediately begins to deploy a defensive perimiter and a command post. Soldiers stream out of their APCs and begin taking up positions, and a battery of 120mm mortars unlimbers, ready to take fire requests from allied units.

AHNA emergency news report: mortar attack on Andrehervian air field

In a statement read out by the Andrehervian foriegn minister, it is reported that a group of about 30 rebels launched a devastating attack on an Andrehervian compound outside Volta. The rebels are though to have used about 10 mortars, all of them 81mm. The attack destroyed one An-124 and severely damaged 3. Equipment flown to Holy Panooly had already left the area, but unfortunately 7 people lost their lives. 15 are said to be injured, 3 critical.

The Andrehervian president, Jim Southern, today spoke out against the attack. He said, "the unprovoked aggression against logistics workers who did not fight is an act of cowardice, and we can assure the world the the perpetrators will be caught and trialed on Andrehervian soil".

More news on this situation will follow soon.

As the men got out of the truck, the soldiers rushed to grab them, and pulled them away from the truck. With guns pointed at them, they were searched thouroly.

In the meantime, the rest of the soldiers began to pull the truck apart, searching for any weapons, explosives etc....

The Leuitenant came out, with a ciggarette in his hand. Walking over to the men, he began to explain, "You see, we've got this security issue. We dont want any anti-Austarians coming in, and we have reason to suggest that you may be such people. I do apoligise if you are legitiment, but as you know, standard procedure.... After this, if all is well, you will be given food, water, a bed, and some fuel to set you on your way. We MAY let you into the main compound, but I have to recieve permission from the man upstairs..."

OOC: What will the searching troops find?

OOC: Only the usual stuff, pencil & paper, geiger counter, satellite phone, notebook... I've written they don't took any weapons or explosives with them.

After several minutes of searching, and several minutes of awkward waiting, the soldiers finally came back, "Sir, nothing out of the ordinary found. Just your typical gear. Nothing to suggest that these guys are rebels...."

In better times, 3.5 million people lived in Volta. Skyscrapers, old sewer system and more annoying things for soldiers. We are not sure about the total number of rebels but we know there are more than 2500. Artillery, AA and AT is also there. We have no idea where they are hiding.

The Axis Nova troops start to enter the outskirts of Volta, keeping their eyes open to the area around them. Charred vehicles, craters, bodies and burning buildings attest to the ferocity of the fighting thus far as the combat cars slowly track their weapons back and forth. Several calliopes are with each group-- despite being primarily antiaircraft weapons, their super high speed guns will prove to be quite useful in digging enemies out of buildings.

"Commader! This is Stevens, look our situation is critical!! The mass waves of tanks and troops we're up aganist is powerful! If we can't hold the line here, their tanks will out- flank your forces and might, a say might, surround your forces and desemate them. All in all, we're down to twenty troops and are low on ammo. We need renforcements, tell us if you can spare us any, we can hold out for two more days and then we'll pull out."

"Well, I hope we get what we need sir."

"So do I. But we are doomed if we don't. Contact the HMS Manchester, she's nearest to HP. Ask her to transport 3/4 of her marines to our position."

We are sending another 7 companies of Space Marines under command of the newly appointed Space Marine Master Azrael to assist HP’s situation, and less than 2 companies to join Stevid’s front (40 men and 14 vehicles in total).

Meanwhile on our own front rebel forces have attacked one of our forward positions, and lethal hand-to-hand combat has ensured. Azrael is personally leading a counter-attack with Land Raiders, Predators and mechanised infantry units. The forward position that is under attack, Position Theta-4, is currently fighting a loosing battle, and marine squads are fighting isolated battles, creating “moving pockets” of resistance toward
P. Theta-4. The AAF is creating little affect on the attacking rebel forces due to heavy woodland, and cannot (and will not) napalm the place, we cannot risk a forest fire.
So far, everything on our front depends on that counter-attack.

An Adaptus Astrates tank along with a mass wave of infantry started sweeping across towards the rebel tanks fireing wildly. More rebel tanks burst into flames as the Stevid soldiers stood up and cheered as the rebels turned their attension to the arrival of new soldiers.

Secret IC: The thump of rotor blades could beheard into the night, 100 blackhawks swept over the trees. The painted faces of men looked out across the jungle scanning for threats and artillery pieces were slung beneath the bellys of the choppers.

They suddenly split into smaller groups and went to their designated LZ's along the Crepes/HP border near the AU base, their target. As soon as they had landed the men quickly covered their camps, making them invisble from the air. In a bit they would help the rebels raise the base to the ground

A Gunner-type combat car moves to the front and takes point. The back wall of the building blows out from the sheer impact of all the flechettes...

AN soldier: "We're getting some readings on the seismic... there must be some rats underground."

A soldier points to a gigantic set of nearby gasoline tanks.

A few minutes later, hoses leading from the tanks are run down all the nearby storm drains and manholes, and thousands of gallons of fuel begin to flow into Volta's sewer systems...

Sesmic, obviously enough, is detecting moving objects by the noise they make. Seismic requires you to drive a big spike into the ground as a reciever, of course. As for a flechette round, flechettes are like very tiny metal darts. They're designed for antipersonnel use and you can pack thousands into a single shell. They tend to shred enemy infantry like cheese. Consider them a modern version of grapeshot.)

A huge explosion ensues, and the 8 AN soldiers unfortunate enough to be near the tanks all die instantly. Several more are badly burned and wounded, and the combat cars nearby skid a few inches on their skirts as the shockwave from the blast hits them.

One of the wounded soldiers throws a grenade into one of the manholes, and the resulting explosion manages to also hit the gas main. The surface the street jumps upwards and cracks under the pressure, and for several blocks to each side flames shoot out of the manholes and stormdrains.


An APC arrives and medics get the wounded soldiers and start to take them to an aid station.

IC: 5 M-15 LBT's rumbled up a main street followed by 9 BTR-90UM's. Supporting them were 15 DA-237's. The school at the other end of the street, according to intelligence, was a rebel stronghold containing weapons, ammunition and a barracks.

"Seizing that would really set them back." Field Commander Samuel Jones whispered to himself in his BTR-90UM command vehicle. He was staring a computer genrated map showing the area they were in, where their equipment was positioned and the information on the rebels in the area.

A young radio operator approached him. "Sir, the M-15's have picked their targets, as have the DA's. As soon as their larger defences have been taken out we can send in the troops. Are we clear to go?"

Jones, not taking his eyes off the map, finally stared at the recruit. "You have authorisation." The radio operator needed and hurried to his station. Jones sighed and looked back at the map.

Men worked silently throughout the jungle, they set up all 100 255mm howitzers 15miles from the AU baseand started to set up the guided munitions so they would get the quickest reload possible, in a tent (name classified) was pouring over some maps and satallite images "Ok we want guns to take out the perimeter and comms center first, get the coordinates for their targets in order of engagment to the crews. First barrage will be ten minutes, lets go!

A large group of rebels some 100 of them, were preparing themselves near the HH campsite. All around the AU base boobytraps have been set up to prevent soldiers from attack the rebel camps around the base... Bamboo spikes, pit traps and of course, landmines both AP and AT.

The rebels advanced without mercy, they shot anything that moved. The anti-tank squad set up there weapons and prepared to fire. The soilders were waiting just behind them. A RPG came flying through the air and expoloded killing four men. The anti-tank squad fired at the nerest tank, blowing to kingdom come. The soilders came running out and fired upon the rebels. 28 of Cam III's soilders fell and only 18 of the rebels died.

Shit! Keep fireing and get medics up here.

10 of the rebels had RPGs and fired them at Cam III's forces, many died in the explosions.

When the base' defences have been reduced to nothing the rebels are going to attack the base with smaller but effective artillery. We just have to wait until the bombing is over.

The five tank crews, having received the order to fire, launched their attacks on the building. They all hit, destroying two T-72's and 3 ZSU's.
"OK, send in the DA's!" Jones order through his radio. Six attack helicopters approached the building and began their assault. Two fired anti-tank HOT 3 missiles against 7 tanks, successfully taking out all of them.

With most of the frontal defences destroyed, the BTR's moved forward. As they approached, around 75 rebels opened fire out of the windows. With the BTR's 30mm cannon and the DA-237's rockets made short work out of the resistance. 7 T-72's and 5 T-80's rushed towards the front entrance inteneding to take out the BTR's when 4 M-15's and 3 DA-237's blocked their path and unleashed it's missiles at them.

"OK, now go and get rid of the rest of the anti-tank guns and tanks and defend the Hind. Make sure no one seizes it." Jones ordered "Excuse me, sir, but why do we need the Hind?" Asked a helicopter pilot, perplexed at his decision. "Trust me on this one." Jones said, before cutting out.

The DA-237's split up and flew out of sight. All the tanks had now moved to the back of the compound with the AA guns. The first two DA-237's appeared and fired HOT 3 missiles at the last 3 ZSU's. They were all direct hits. The helicopter's left the area and five more DA-237's flew into sight. They all fired as many HOT 3 missiles as possible at the tank. Whatever was left of the tank force was now destroyed.

You said push them West. We're in the West. They've a hell of a lot of troops and a lot of tanks. They may want you to push them west so they can regroup with others and counter attack.

Alright.

We'll try and destroy as many possible resources here, then pull back and push the rebels towards the East. We'll deploy more attack helicopters to the west to help take out the threat there. If that's not enough, we may have to consider precision bombing, but that's something I don't even want to think of doing.

OOC note: there are about 500,000 rebels active and 40,000 of them hide in Volta. None of you can't possibly know this.

Ok men, get the 255mm artillery here. When they enter the city via the south they will walk straight into an ambush... Put the AT mines right there and the AP mines on the sidewalk next to the buildings. Make sure the barbed wire can be used as a trigger for the C4 charges along the road. When cut, the whole street will explode

Cam III's soilders where standing around waiting for the order to advance. Then suddenly a hell of a lot of rebels came running forward out of Volta fireing at the soilders. The soilders fired back and some of them fell along with some soilders. The rebels had killed a lot of soilders before they retreated, about 130 soilders were killed and about 50 rebels run away.

We are going to advance soon if we don't get the order, I dont care, were going to get killed if we stay here.
