( Only 4 designs huh?)

The Ministry of Department and Export after being swamed by every Elias Defence Corporation for entry to the Tiltsinian arms expo decided to focus on aircraft as this encompasses very recent and ambitious move by Elias Aerospace.

EA-160 Tactical Fighter (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=71886)

The EA-160 Wolverine Light Air Superiority Fighter was first considered after an extensive design program to find a suitable replacement for Mig-21s and also a plane that could offer similar capabilities to much larger aircraft such as the Su-30MK but without the high maintenance and purchase cost. The aircraft is actually the first combat plane designed and manufactured in United Elias and once again the Elias Aerospace Corporation and its subsidiaries have risen to the challenge and produced a magnificent airframe with the most advanced sensors and weapons systems.

Features

The aircraft is constructed of carbon fire composites, glass-reinforced plastic, aluminium lithium, titanium and aluminium casting. Stealth technology features include low frontal radar cross-section, passive sensors, RAM absorbent coating and super cruise ability (can fly supersonic without afterburners)

The foreplane/delta configuration is intentionally aerodynamically unstable which provides a high level of agility (particularly at supersonic speeds), low drag and enhanced lift. The pilot controls the aircraft through a highly computerised digital fly-by-wire system which provides artificial stabilisation and gust elevation to give good control characteristics throughout the flight envelope.

The pilot's control system is a voice-throttle-and-stick system (VTAS). The stick and throttle tops house 28 fingertip controls for sensor and weapon control, defence aids management, and in-flight handling. The direct voice input allows the pilot to carry out mode selection and data entry procedures using voice command.

The Helmet Mounted Symbology System and Head Up Display show the flight reference data, weapon aiming, cueing, and the FLIR imagery. The cockpit has four multifunction, colour displays which show the tactical situation, systems status and map displays. The Moving Map Display This uses digital terrain information to depict a graphical map of an area around the aircraft. The current position of the plane is obtained using the GPS and Inertial Navigation Systems. This map can then be overlaid with the complete air and ground picture surrounding the aircraft including target identification information. So this single display can give the pilot an almost unprecedented level of non-conflicting data enabling an effective attack (or retreat) strategy to be defined in a matter of seconds.

A Weapons systems operator is included on the Strike Version to manage the additional work load on strike missions, the WSO can access information from the radar, electronic warfare or infrared sensors, and monitor aircraft or weapons status and possible threats. The WSO also selects targets and navigates with the aid of another moving map displays similar to the pilot’s. The Strike version also features a synthetic aperture radar, that can show minute details on the ground including vehicles and even personnel from up to 35 nautical miles away. The system has an inbuilt FLIR sensor allowing all weather and night operation.

The aircraft's defensive aids sub-system is accommodated within the aircraft structure and integrated with the avionics system and includes: an electronic countermeasures/support measures system (ECM/ESM), front and rear missile approach warners, supersonically capable towed decoy systems, laser warning receivers and a chaff and flare dispensing system.

The EA-160 is powered by a single EPE-136M High bypass turbofan producing 14,690lb of thrust dry and 21,250lb when afterburning. The power plant has proven to be extremely reliable in all climates and conditions and also is one of the most efficient engines in service.

A retracting refuelling probe for air to air tanking is fiited as standard and is compatible only with the hose and drogue system (used by all air air forces as well as the USN and USMC, only exception USAF and IAF) If your nation uses the boom-recepticle system hen orders can be modified upon request to fit this requiremnt.

Weapons

One of the most important features of the Wolverine is the flexibility of its warload; the aircraft can carry a vast array of weapon systems for nearly every conceivable role, including the full NATO range of guided munitions and their eastern equivalents..

There a total of 10 external hardpoints: one on each wingtip, four under fuselage and two under each wing. In addition there is a single centre line hardpoint that is designed especially for mounting an external fuel tank to increase range. There is also an internal 30mm cannon mounted in the starboard wing root.

Specification Summary: (all versions)

Type: Multirole Fighter

Powerplant: 1x EPE-136M High bypass turbofan producing 14,690lb of thrust dry and 21,250lb when afterburning.

Performance:

Max Speed: (at 35,000ft) Mach 2.1

Time to 35,000ft: up to 2 min 25 seconds

Weapons: See Above

Accommodation: ‘B’ Pilot only, ‘C’ Pilot and a weapons system operator.

Versions

-EA-160A: Development Prototype only, not for sale.

-EA-160B: Single Seat Air superiority Version. $28 million per copy.

The EA-120B variant is a single seat aircraft optimised for air to air combat, however it can also perform anti-ship and ground attack missions although not as effectively as the ‘C’ Version as it lacks sensors like the synthetic radar aperture.

-EA-160C: Two seat Strike Version. $35 million per copy.

The EA-160C variant is a two seat aircraft optimised for air to ground combat, however it can also perform air to air missions almost as effectively as the ‘C’ Version with only a slight loss in agility. The main difference is that with the inclusion of a weapons systems operator it enables the targeting of complicated guided munitions, cruise missiles and anti-radiation devices. The ‘C’ Version also includes additional ground detection sensors not found on the ‘B’ Version that make it more effective in the ground attack role whether it be tactical or strategic strike.

EA-148 Jet Trainer/Light Fighter (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=74192&highlight=)

This aircraft is still in development but presales are being taken so at the expo only a mockup will be shown:

Following a decision by the Elias Air Force to procure the EA-160 Wolverine (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=71886) over the EA-148 design, Elias Aerospace has decided to scale back the original design and produce the EA-148 as a jet trainer instead of a mutlirole fighter. It was beaten by the other Elias Aerospace design because it was a cheaper but not as capable design. Two qualities that make it ideal for training.

http://www.lmtas.com/gallery/products/combat_air/t50/images/GE3.jpg
http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/types/korea/kai/t-50/GE1.jpg

Projected Specifications:

((God, Elias builds EVERYTHING))
Seversky will be showing its latest tank, as that is the only thing we are actively promoteing:
http://military-graphics.net/leo2.jpg

Name: Tiger
Mark: T.Mk.1
Manufacturers: Severskian Land Combat Systems, SAI-Land, Harunaan Motor Industri.
Main Armorment: 155mm HV Cannon
Secondary Armorment: 1*15.5mm Coax, 2*15.5mm Heavy MG mounted on turret roof.
Ammo: 45 155mm, 3000 15.5mm
Engine: 1*HMI W-24 diesil, 3,000 bHp
Max Speed: 60 mph
Max Range: 600 miles
Weight: 73 tons.
Armor: Classified
Armor type: Composite/steel
Froding: Amphib. w/ preporation.
Night vision equipment: Driver/gunner/commander (IFR and NV)
NBC protection: yes.

This tank was designed arround its main armorment, a 155mm high velocity cannon. This gun is the most important feature of this tank. 35mm bigger then the M-1A1/A2's cannon, the 155mm fires an extreemly high velocity round, that contains a powerful charge. A charge powerful enough to destroy an Abrams at 7 miles distance.

Cost is 2.5 million USD per unit. UNAOTO members get a .5 million USD discount. Other discounts will be given on a case by case basis. Licenses are avalible.

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/leopard-c1_12.jpg

The Tiger is vertually identical to the Ocelot externally, with most diffrences being related to the engine and armor composition. The origional name for this tank was Ocelot T.Mk.2, but it was decided to make it a new type.

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/leopard-05.jpg

The engine in the Tiger is a 24 cylinder W diesel, developing 3,000 bhp. This large reserve of power is used to give the Tiger around the best acceleration of any tank ever. This engine is also highly efficent, giveing the same range as the Ocelot, but with twice the cylinders.

http://military-graphics.net/leopard2.jpg

The armor is where the diffrence between the tank destroyer and MBT is evident. The Tiger's armor package is mostly of light weight composites, with steel in small quanity. The purpose of useing composites is to keep the weight down, while the plastics themselves are over 5 times stronger then the steel that would normally have been used. This also has the advantage over Depleated Uranium of not being radioactive.

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/leopard-c1_58.jpg

The cannon, which made the Ocelot so desired, is the same. 155mm HV. The diffrence is, this time the shell information has been released. The 155mm HV cannon fires a green round. This green round is a Shaped charge composite round, with 55lbs of explosive contained inside of it. In order to defeat newer types of armor, a small explosive charge is carried on an extention on the front of the projectile. This charge acts to weaken the armor, literally "cracking" the armor, allowing the shaped charge to destroy its target.

Since 2 out of the 4 aircraft we submitted our join ventures we feel we have the right to enter another small entry that is perfectly suited to live demonstration. Indeed it might add a bit of a bang to the whole event.

Elias Weapoons and Ordnance Advanced Artillery submuntions (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=74839)

The Elias Weapons and Ordnance Corporation has developed a new type of artillery submunition that is comptable with most calibres of Western and Eastern artillery guns. These munitions can make your field artillery much more effective, for example a 105mm cluster munition would create a much larger area of damage than even a 155m standrad HE round.

M85 Bomblet

All of the munitions are based around the EWO M85 bomblet:

The valuable and unique Self-Destruct Dual Purpose (Anti Personnel & Anti Armor) M85 Bomblet ensures that no hazardous duds are encountered by advancing friendly forces. A unique self-destruct mechanism detonates those bomblets that did not explode by impact and another backup mechanism prevents inadvertent arming of duds by manual means. No stored energy is contained in the bomblet fusing system, thus complying with the most severe military standards.

The bomblet utilises a small HEAT (high Explosive anti-tank) warhead
and yields about 1200 fragments dispersed over a large lethal area. The shape-charge penetrates more than 105 mm of RHA steel and is ideal for attacking armour and personnel alike.

Artillery Rounds:

The following rounds are certified to be fired from every type of gun of the appropriate calibre. The munitions work similarly to a cluster bomb in that when the round approaches the ground it releases a number of M85 bomblets over a dipersed area.

T-7 Gilgamesh

Heavy Main Battle Tank

Designed by: Fisaw (Industrized Serfs), Crookfur, Aresmat (Hole Where Evil Lives), and Newer England

Produced by: Fisaw (Industrized LSerfs) and ETC Ammunition by Aresmat (Hole Where Evil Lives)

Weight: 70,600kg (155,320lbs.)

Crew: 2 (in front hull)

Performance: Speed: 70km/h, Range: 450km (60km on Hybrid Electric), Vertical Obstacle: 2.4m, Fording: 3.3m, Trench 4.1m.

Armor: Advanced coposite armor incorperating Chobham, Titanium Alloys, high strength ceramics, Tungsten and spacing, exact details are availble on request but effectiveness is rated at being closs (or greater than) 1500mm RHA.

Power systems: CFPW T451 Alcohol turbine with hybrid electric drive for silent running and low heat (for operations requiring more stealth or involving infantry), emergency and maintenance power.

Armament systems: Electro Thermal Chemical 155mm main gun at least 55 calibres long capable of launching most any rounds including HEAT, Sabots, Top Attacks, Missiles, and even canisters. Also a copper round developed by fisaw. Export version using a 25mm machine gun/grenade launcher on remotely operated mount. Missiles (2 SAMs for anti chopper and possible anti round and 2 recon vehicles likely remotely operated) which aren't fired by the main gun. Also a anti-infantry variant of explosive launcher.

Ammunition: 30 Main gun, 800 25mm MG and 800 GL

Rate of Fire: Main gun: 9rpm, MG/GL 350-600rpm (or semi auto).

Intelligence Systems: Radar/laser/microwave threat warning receivers with rapid resolution of incoming fire sources, fire detection radar and suppression system, a wide variety of views with a horizon view and IR/UV/Night vision views. As well as targeting views and emergency periscope views. Laser rangefinder and designator, target acquisition system (roughly 90% accurate), remote sensor coordination (2 remotely operated recon missiles).

Counter systems: Sensors for immediate detection of hits which aim all detectors, designators and weapons at the target which if isn't found is then scanned for. Also launches a recon missile in the general direction. If the targets found then triangulation (with lasers from the recon and tank) is used to quickly get a designator on the target. Works most effectively against direct fire but if not immediately producing a target it should eventually be found.
Jammers, active counter laser, dense particulate smoke rounds and discharger, anti-missile system using ball bearing packed explosives launched at direction of incoming threat from mount on turret, an anti-mine system also using the same ball bearing packed explosive system but located at the front of the hull and using a powerful detection system, anti-magnetic mine paint, multiple drone launch capability.

Survivability systems: NBC protection, unitary armored pod inside the crew’s section of the hull, blow away sections for ammo cases (which are mounted on the sides) that release pressure on ammo incase they blow up and if they do they explode upwards away from crew and engine. The same goes for our missile systems mounted slightly to the rear of the turret. Retractable (and detachable) armored skirts.

Tank systems: Computerized hydropneumatic 'dynamic' suspension, rail system to roll out engine for maintenance, cool air jets run into exhaust stream with a combination of air and liquid (water left and stored from alcohol engine) coolant, advanced fire control computer, fully stabilized gun mountings.

As for the price i belive we are looking at soemthing in the range of $8.5million or so

T-80UM5:
A further development of the T-80UM4, with an electro-thermal 135mm gun and a coaxial 40mm autocannon for killing APC's. It is pretty much immune to anything fired from 2km or farther away, and is protected from tandem warheads due to kaktus ERA. Improvements over T-80UM4, and the Shtora-2 jamming system. include a coaxial 40mm autocannon, and an electro-thermal 135mm gun.

The T-80UM5 armament includes an electro-thermal 135mm gun, stabilized in two axes and fitted with a thermal sleeve. It hits with the force of a 155mm gun, and can destroy an M1A2 at 4km. The gun tube can be replaced without dismantling inside the turret. The gun can fire a variety of ammunition including APDS (Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot), HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank), HE-FRAG (High Explosive Fragmentation) as well as shrapnel projectiles with time fuses.

The 135mm gun can also fire the AT-17 Slicer anti-tank guided missile system. The range of the missile is 100 - 6,000 m and takes 14.7 sec to reach maximum range. The system is intended to engage tanks fitted with ERA (Explosive Reactive Armour) as well as low-flying air targets such as helicopters, at a range of up to 7 km. The missile system fires either the 9M119 or 9M119M missiles which have semi-automatic laser beamriding guidance and a hollow charge warhead. Missile weight is 28.4 kg. The guns 15 rpm automatic loader will feed both ordnance and missiles.

A 40mm 2A76 autocannon has been installed to allow quick engagement of other armored fighting vehicles. Ammunition load is 500 AP (Armour-Piercing) or HE-FRAG rounds. Rate of fire is more than 300 rounds/min and range is 1,500 to 2,000m.

There are 12 Kornet ATGM's towards the rear of the turret. Kornet is a laser guided ATGM with a range of over 5km that easily penetrates the amror of the M1A2 or similar tanks with its 1200mm penetration.

Also fitted is a coaxial 7.62 mm PKT machine gun and a 12.7 mm air defense machine gun. A 5.45 mm AKS-74 assault rifle is carried on a storage rack.

Armor:

The T-80UM5 tank is protected by both 2nd generation CHobham armor and 3rd generation ERA (kaktus). THis allows it to absorb hits from 120 or 125mm guns, as well as from a good deal of missiles. Kaktus also protects it from double charged HEAT rounds.

The T-80UM5 is fitted with the Shtora-2. This system includes infrared jammer, laser jammer, laser warning system with four laser warning receivers, grenade discharging system which produces an aerosol screen and a computerized control system.
It is also fitted with NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection equipment.

T-80UM5 is fitted with Arena.

The Bisonic ARENA system, the first available DAS-system, was analysed by TNO-PML in collaboration with TNO-FEL. This systems detects an incoming anti-tank missile and reacts by throwing a cassette containing explosives and fragments towards the missile. Upon detonation of the cassette, the fragments interact with the missile, such that its effectiveness decreases substantially.

Both testings of the effectiveness of the fragments and computer simulation of the suite of events- detection, intercept and residual penetration capability- were performed. This resulted in an assessment of the increased survivability of the vehicle equipped with ARENA. The same analyses also gave an idea of the decrease of performance of the anti-tank missile.

The Arena system is switched on/off from the commander's control console. Once Arena is switched on, all subsequent operations are performed automatically. Apart from the basic automatic mode of operation, exceptionally, the commander can control the system manually, for example, when it is necessary to destroy obstacles or for close-in protection against infantry.

Arena provides protection for a moving or stationary tank in any weather and in any combat environment, irrespective of the angle of impact of the enemy's weapons. The data-processing radars and sights feature a high level of noise immunity. They do not respond to false and random signals, and come into action only in situations where there is a serious threat to the tank or when a weapon fired by the enemy is heading directly towards the tank.

It is also fitted with NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection equipment.

Propulsion:
The T-80UM5 has a 1400 hp turbocharged engine. This engine can be fuelled by T-2 or TS-1 kerosene and A-72 benzine, in addition to diesel. The tank can carry up to 1,600 litres of fuel in the main fuel tanks and fuel drums. The fuel tanks are reinforced with armor plating.
The tank is provided with a snorkel for deep fording and can ford 5 metres of water with equipment which can be deployed in 20 minutes.
The mechanical transmission includes primary reduction gear, two planetary final gearboxes and two planetary final drives. The running gear features torsion bar suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers at 1, 2 and 6 road wheel stations and tracks with rubber-metallic pin hinges.

Fire Control: The gunner's 1A43 day FCS comprises: 1G46 day sight/rangefinder with missile guidance channel, 2E42-4 armament stabilizer, 1V528 ballistic computer and DVE-BS wind gauge.
The commander's PNK-4S sight includes a TKN-4S (Agat-S) day/night sight which has identification ranges of 800 m (day) and 700 m (night).
The driver is equipped with a TVN-5 infrared night viewer.

The new fire control system includes very advanced features including the capability to acquire and lock onto moving targets, even airborne helicopters, while the tank itself is on the move.

The computer controlled fire control system includes line of sight stabilisation in two axes, a second-generation television sight and automatic thermal target tracker, a laser range finder, an improved thermal night vision system and a dynamic cant angle indicator. The commander's station is fitted with a stabilised panoramic day and night sight. The integrated operating system includes advanced data communications and battle management. Tadiran developed the T-80UM4's communications system, the inter communication system and the VRC 120 vehicular transceiver radio with embedded auxiliary receivers.
A T-80UM5 costs $6.5 mil, $6 mil for TGP or NCA member

Notes
Designed originally to meet a requirement put forth by Rimbauld, KMC's IFV-2 Normandy performed so well in tests that the design has since been adopted as the DKA's next-generation Infantry Fighting Vehicle.

Built with a highly modular design, the Normandy is capable of being converted from its baseline design to a Mortar carrier, a gun carrier, a command-post vehicle, an ambulance, as well as a minesweeper, engineer support vehicle, ARV, and dry, wet, and General Purpose logistics vehicles through the replacement of its componants and its entirely modular turret.

Although all fire-controls for this capable vehicle have manual backups, the primary fire function is highly computerized to allow first-round first-hit capability against enemy vehicles, even on the move. As well, the vehicle's design allows most componants to be serviced by the crew without ever leaving the vehicle.

Finally, we come to the naval portion of the expo. We have brought two exhibits for this field: The Silverfish SCSG torpedo, and the Tripoli-class destroyer, which will serve both as our second exhibit, and the launch vessel for the demonstration torpedo.

Notes

Designed to compliment the Shearwater-class of battleship, the Tripoli-class Destroyer provides capabilities superior to those of the Arleigh Burke-class on which the requirement was based. Although physically a larger ship, the Tripoli gives enemies a far smaller radar cross-section thanks to the use of radar absorbant materials and low-radar observability hull geometry, much like her larger sister ship, the Shearwater. Likewise, her radar systems have been improved to include the same LPI mode as that of the larger vessel. The inclusion also grants it a superior ability to engage low-altitude and low-radar-cross-section targets. Although this capability is intended to be used against sea-skimming anti-ship missiles, there is some thought that its aptitude for targeting objects which grant only small returns could be used to engage stealth aircraft.

"I still say we should have gone up there and scorched his silly ass, Colonel..." he joked. "It's like I've always said... Wings are supposed to bend backwards, not forwards. The damn things are on backwards."

Stubbing out his cigarette, the Colonel chuckled, getting up and collecting his helmet. "Cowboy?"

"Yes, sir?"

"Shut up."

---

The A-24 Corsair III ripped through the sky, blasting its way through the big blue. The trio of fighters broke hard, one holding the course, one heading for the deck, and the other pulling up into a powerclimb. The boom as the fighter's afterburner touched off echoed from building to building.

---

The scripted pattern went off without a hitch, the Corsairs showing off their low-level maneuverability, an ability that almost seemed to offset their limited supersonic capabilities. At times, the fighter seemed to move in ways that appeared almost impossible.
