"You're tuned to INN, the Indiastan News Network. We have a special announcement coming your way in a moment, brought to you by Dr. Pepper. Please stand by."

The camera turns and on it appears a tall women, dressed entirely in black. Her face and skin appear to be almost the same shade of white as the paper she holds, while her hair, eyes, and lip are all ashen black. She wears a loose fitting robe, similar to those of Fransiscan monks. Behind her stand three other women, all identicly dressed, except the cowels of their hoods cover most of their faces. The speaker's movements seems slow and very gracefull. She holds up the paper and reads her speech to the assembeled group of reporters..

"Citizens of Indiastan and the world, my name is Arielle Kantrel. I represent the Navis Nobilite, which is possible the first order of human telepaths not only in this nation, but also in the world at large. We are not numerous, and are certainly not dangerous. We formed because of the need to effectivly control our talent; such is the power in even the weakest of telepath. We hope that acceptance of our kind can be found around the world, as we only wish to continue to live in peace. Are there any questions?"

Immeditely several hands shoot up. Arielle answers them one at a time.

"How many of you are there, exactly?"

"I myself do not know the exact number, but we number perhaps a few hundred, if that."

"Are there any men? You all appear female."

"No, we have found that men lack the mental dicipline to control their talents. Fewer men are born telepaths as it is, and most destroy themselves in the end. A few survive, but go insane as a result."

The questions continued for another half hour, with Arielle never once losing her composure of even failing to answer the question in a way that was unsatisfactory to the questioner. "I could do this for hours," she thoguht to herself, sighing. "They'll never learn.. it dosn't really matter though." she heard in silent responce, the voice being that of Petra, her eldest student.

She leaves after saying goodbye to the crowd, voicelessly telling her entourage to follow her out. They quietly returned to their shuttle, and departed for their monestary far to the northeast in the Himlyains.

The flight was long and boring, but Arielle didn't notice, as she sat in meditation. Something... wasn't right...

Far below Feere’s surface, in one of the Ministry of Truth’s numerous subterranean IntelOps installations, Arielle’s INN broadcast played on a monitor, just one of dozens that covered the entire wall. A MORDEX Tech noted the telepath’s message of the Navis Nobilite and forwarded the information for further analyses.

Fascinating the Mon-Keigh continue their evolution as it was written in the Runes, they will possibly one day Evolve to the next level. That is assuming they don't blow themselves up and the whole of their world with it. Watching the Broadcast a new relaxed Telgorthrind was in peace, he was not at thistime Casting runes and in his heart all was calm, it was the calm before the storm of course but none the less he was calm.

Indiastan they where the ones to hit us here at Tor Yvresse, and the ones that interferred onboard the Talisman, they bare watching still a little more. I think we should activate a few assests in their city, now who to send. A Eldar might elicite comment, hmm we have the second Generations from our evacuations a while back, ready and loyal to Tor Yvresse, we did save them after all. Still they are a little young even for Mon-Keigh. a few more years to be sure of them. I guess for now we watch from a distance let us keep the Runes on this nation.

The dream came to her like a twisted nightmare of the worst kind, the sort that caused tremendious strain upon even her powerfull mental conditioning. The images danced and flickered inside her mind, and horrible images of bloodletting and terror almost made her weep. She realized that this was not just any dream. This was a message.

Then, she recognized her.

Reaching out, she made contact with the sorce. The link was weak, but she could tell that it was only possible because both had such powerfull minds. Briefly she looked through the eyes of the one that was already dead, and she saw her. Again. That horribly female warlord, standing tall in her ornate armour, drinking in the terror that her mutilated and dilapidated servants were reaping upon the tortured psyker. The feeling of hatred only got worse when she saw the small cube sitting on the floor between them. She knew that the psyker was dead as soon as it was opened. But that didn't matter.

All that mattered was that that the Arcon was going to die.

Waking up from her meditation, Arielle saw that the shuttle was just arriving home. With newly steeled determination, she went straight to her room. There, she found at the bottom of her chest-of-drawers, what she has wanted.

Her sword. The sword.

Strange the Runes are drawing me elsewhere, towards the Web towards the Fallen... What is this Melania what is she doing with the Fallen? Wait no pain, Death They have taken her, this we cannot allow.

Reaching out with his mind for his Second Jernis Telgorthrinds mind spoke of a deep seated Anger, a hatred that always burnt low for the fallen fanned once more to flames.
'Jernis I need you to do a Job for me, the Fallen have taken Melania find her, bring her back to us, kill the Archon as punishment.'

'Understood Telgorthrind' Jernis voice rang back clear across the connection, what was ordered would be done, he would see to that.

(ooc:Except... mine don't work like that. There ARE no navigator males. That, and i don't know what happens. Must be old fluff, rouge-trader era I'd imagine, before my time. And they don't navigate is the other thing. Our fold-drives work well enough on their own. Not like we use them often anyway. The only thing I'm really keeping is the name. :D)

IC: Days went by while Arielle almost single-mindedly honed her abilities. It had been several years since she had practiced, and she felt invigorated just by holding the forty-two inch blade. The energy field that the blade generated hummed very quietly, a sound so inaudible that she belived that a normal human couldn't hear it. She worked out on the wide matted floor, dueling the Sisters that were training there, or sparring with the training holograms. She was turning into a killing machine.

A week later, and the dream still haunts her sleep.

She honed her other skills. Running, leaping, shooting, everything she knew she practiced. It was not going to be easy. Even with her prodigious skills, she wasn't sure if she would live through the coming storm.

But she was sure that her foe would not.

OOC: Yeah it was old stuff from the time Space fleet came out, i think it also gets mentioned in the old Ian Watson novels (Jaq Draco series).
BAsically when the Alpha male of a house dies the other males turn into mosnters and rip each other to bits :)

Arielle was sitting in meditation when the Master came to her. The dawn was spilling into through the windows as the old woman entered. Willow was the oldest of them, nearing sixty. She was also one of two Level Five telepath know to have exsisted; her abilities were so great she could actually see the future. The years lie heavily upon her, and she is more aged then one of her age should be. Unlike her adepts, she is dressed purely in white, matching perfectly both her skin and hair. Arielle sense her approach, but does not move. Willow sits down on a cusion next to her and closes her eyes, and the two hold a conversation that few could possibly have heard.

"It is good to see you again Arielle. I knew you had returned from deep space, and that you gave the briefing some weeks ago, but I was curious that you had not come to see me since you returned. I sense that there is an imbalance in your mind, something so deep that you hide it from all but your Master."

"Yes... there is indeed something imbalanced. Several days ago, I was contacted by a mind... one of the Eldar, a psyker of some strength. She was being tortured, and the backlash has disturbed me greatly. Then, I recognized the other doing the torture - the same Eldar from the Talisman. The mission was successful, and the first Talisman is beyond reach. When the others are found, I will be ready."

"Good. Now, this matter of the Eldar is what brings me here. The Dark Kindred is coming for you Arielle. I have seen it. They bring ain and dessecration, and must not find this place. Though it is unlikely they could hope to defeat us with their small strik force, our order must hnot be threatened. You are to take your learners and three Ghost warriors to Bombay and wait for them to come to you. We have already arranged your accomodations, and I think you will enjoy them."

"Thank you Master. My only hope is that my adepts are not harmed. We will allow none to live."

By midday Arielle was packed again, her three adepts ever mindfull while carrying her things. The three Ghosts came as well, all of them tall women clad in form-fitting black, with bandoliers and weapons slung over their shoulders. At the waste they carried their swords, the long gracefull blades just showing above the scabbard as all of the warriors wore them loose. Arielle had been trained as a Ghost when she was a little younger, but when it was learned she was a Level Four, she was pulled from the service. Only Level One and Two's served this way. But, in some manners they were just as formidable as she, as they had far more experence in matters of both war and crafts.

They were not meeting the Eldar unprepared.

--=NOTE=--
This post is brought to you by Tor Yvresse, who is currently suffering from horrible technicly problems. He TG'd his post to me to put up, and I am now currently doing so.

"Jernis, a change of plans, I have seen the Fallen attempt to strike at the people of United Indiastan, and the Psyker at the Talisman incident. Arrange for them to fail, and destroy their strike force. Then return here. We shall still seek the Archon's death but that can wait..."

As Telgorthrind sat alone in the Dome of Crystal Seers it struck him that he was spending more time here than ever before. The time was coming no matter how far off, when he, like Malian, would remain here for ever. The pushing of his talents made that a given, an ever approaching fact.

"I understand Telgorthrind, my team and I shall obey. We are, I assume, to remain secret in this matter?"

"Yes," came the simple reply through the link.

((Jernis' team consists of two Rangers and a Exarch of the Striking Scorpions))

The night shift had been on duty for a few hours when they felt the sickening presence coming up the mountain. They immedietly manned the south wall as the Incubi advanced up as stealthily up as they could. The trail leading up to the monistary was not very wide, and the sides were sheer cliffs. When they came into range, charged rifle rounds were their only greeting.

In Bombay, Arielle recieved a distanced telepathic call, saying they were under attack. She realized that if the Fallen were indeed coming for her, they didn't know that she had left. She pondered this for awhile, then went back to sleep.

Arielle rose early with the sun, he dreams being haunted by the fight at the monestary. She could only watch as volley after volley of fire was exchanged, and one by one the Dark Eldar died. She was pained that they did not all die. The one who looked like the leader escaped, and that saddend her. She saw that a number of her sisters were horribly wounded by the harsh mono-fillament shards of the Fallen's splinter rifles, and she was appalled. Then, she thought up a plan.

Using every skill she had learned in her years with the Navis, Arielle broadcasted a message into "hyperspace" or "the web". She knew that this was the dominion of the Fallen, so she was sure that her target would get the message. It was short and to the point.

"Abomination, face me, if you feel you are strong enough to conquer your fear. When the moon reaches it's height in Kaljimaru Square, I will meet you blade for blade. If you are afraid, send another, more worthy, combatant in your stead. I am prepared."

The gamble was done, but what waited was the payoff.

Arielle stood as still as a statue in the center of the moon-lit square. The buildings surrounding them were old and wooden, but in excellent condition. The square itself was paveed with ancient flagstones, and the only light was provided by the full moon and stars.

She stood there, completely alone. She wore the form-fitting suit that was typical of the Ghosts: tight but flexable, with loose pockets on the legs and waist belt for the neccissities. She holds a sword in each hand, both point-up, one held in front of her, the other behind. After looking closer, one can see she actually has her eyes closed. Hanging from her belt are the ornate pistols she always carried, and a few extra mags were fitted in the belt along with the pistols and scabbards.

She was ready and waiting.

Arielle stood motionless as her enemy approached. She felt the telepathic force of his assult break upon her mental barriers, but the unconscious effort tired her. She didn't even move as he appraoched to decapitate her. As the hidious weapon arched through the air, aiming for her neck, she nimbely stepped aside, her twni blades flashing to both parry and chop at the pole. The first blade meets the heavy Eldar weapon, while the second arcs around behind Arielle and slashes down into the haft. The sword fails to break the weapon, and with a twisting motion the dread Eldar spins around to face Arielle, who had moved into a position beside him. The face each other for a second, their unseen eyes locking breifly, before they both launch into an attack, attempting to get the measure of the other.

Neither of them thought this was going to be quick.

((Whoops sorry all been distracted recently.))

The Eldar's small team where too late to prevent the attack, and now they watched it occur waiting for the signal to advance. They waitied for the window of oppertunity to slip in unseen.

Eventually they saw their moment and began to move, Galdern heading in the same direction as the Faceless Lord, the others in his team spred out as best they where able, seeking the Fallen to bring some small measure of revenge for their loss.

((My catch up post.))

The first shot from the Rifle of the Rangers rang out smacking into one of the Fallen's bodies as the Eldar moved swiftly into the building. The Exarch running of into combat uncaring of the foes, be they Mon-Keigh or fallen, it was unlikely after all that the Mon-Keigh would mark him as different. Galdern on the other hand searched for his foe, his mind reaching out, searching every corner of the Monestry, until he felt it, a strong taint of darkness.

That was where he would go then to the heart of the foe, and the revenge he sought.

After the black field shimmers into life, Arielle leaps back quickly. Before the Fallen can move, she draws her Gloster 9mm auto-pistol, and rapidly empties its thirty rounds into the Eldar's chest, hoping to overload the field. She does this quickly, before dropping the empty pistol and bracing herself for a counter-charge.

The pistol had already left her hand as the snake-like whip slashes out and knocks it out of the air. Discouraged that the field wasn't over-loaded, she takes a running step up into a jumping kick, aimed squarely for the beast's chest. She has no illusions that it would connect, but when his blade flashes down at where her knees just were, she has a brief glimmer of... hope.
