Rule To The Auction House
Serious bidders only.
No thread hijacking.
The Auctioneer has the right to remove any bid placed or to remove anyone from the auction.
"Welcome to the new and improved Auction House, well its more of a luxury villa now, wouldn't you say? chuckle.
Now, with no further adó, I present to you the Auction House in all its glory, with the first lot.

This beautifully crafted Athene sword is fourteenth century, and adheers to the Athene tradition of greatening power of the holder through their mind. The phsycological effects of the Athene are greater than any other, enhancing the strength of an individual to their capacity.
This is the only Athene ever made by swords craftman Willam Opér, and has been independantly valued.
I say we start the bidding at 350 thousand pounds, any rise?"
Simone, a retired general, a middle aged man in green fatigues, rather past his prime, with an expanding stomach line and graying beard waggles his eyebrows at the daggers and raises his hand.
"350 thousand right here mi amigo, worth that if just for the design."
He then relaxes back in the easy chair he comandeered.
The elven woman says "Looks like an Amcanthra blade to me. 360 thousand pounds!", raising the fan on her hand.
"400 Thousand!" screams the young dot-com executive, dressed in a polo shirt and khakis. "Ever since I played D&D I've wanted one of those!"
"410 thousand pounds", says the elven lady in a sweet soft voice.
"530 thousand pounds" says a middeaged Trasian
"550 thousand" says the Lady, turning to the trasian.
the Trasian smiles "750 THOUSAND pounds"
"Sounds like you are a very rich guy, however...800 thousand, please", says the lady without changing her tone.
*King JWolf walk in like he owns the place but he doesn't own it*
"I bid 900 thousand" said King JWolf
The Trasian stands "ONE MILLION POUNDS"
"one million with a hundred thousand pounds", says the lady, visibly disgruntled.
"I bid 1.6 MILLION pounds" the Trasian smirks "you don't think i can afford it? well guess what, i am the owner of the BlackSuns Corp, the BIGGEST one in trasa"
N as-yet silent man raises his hand. "One million, five hundred pounds."
*King JWolf stand up*
King JWolf:"I bid 2 million pounds."
*Order one of bodyguards to go get him a drink from his limo*
The man looks up at the auctioneer.
May as well ...
"Ten million pounds."
"i can offer 30 MILLION pounds"
"I don't care who you are or what you own. That's too much for a non elven blade. You keep it if you want to. That amount of money just shows that you're an ignorant about daggers" says the lady, smiling at the Trasian.
The man leans back and smiles.
My job here is done. Get the fool to raise the bidding.
"Trasians love old artwork and weapons" the Traisan nods

"Oh well," says the man. "That's thirty million pounds you can't bid on other items with."
the Trasian shrugs "i have alot more where that came from, i am supported by a Grand Admiral of the TSD"
King JWolf: "That is too much for a sword."

"Well, I can see no more bids, so I close this auction for the beautifully crafted Athene, SOLD TO THAT VERY SMART LOOKING TRASIAN FOR £3O,000,000!

Now, (clearing throat) the next lot going up for sale is this superb villa

Situated atop a small waterfall flowing into a lake which is property to the villa, and its owner, with beautifull sunlight all day everyday. The villa compirses 3 large bedrooms, two bathrooms, open plan diner living space, kitchen, large terrach, conservatorie and pool/jaccuzi. Also the villa comes with a natural spa pool a few villa itself.
Now, to hand over the keys, lets start at £3,000,000? Any bids?"

Okay. Primarly, our king would like to sell his crown, a fine work of medieval art, because he doesn't like it. It itches on his head.
The money will be used for improving the lives of our people by raising all wages. So please a high bid.
"3 million 500 thousand pounds!", says the elven lady, receiving a call on her cellular phone "Yes, yes Your Highness, I willl bid on the villa, don't worry"

the trasian starts to whistle
"Ten million pounds" says the elven lady, hanging the phone.

A man wearing a raincoat entered. He quietly moved to the back of the room. He was on a special humanitarian mission...well sort of...

Seeing the people throw their money away the man in fatigues slides out of his chair to look for something to drink.

Yes, infact if you stick arround, after this auiction, there is a crown for sale, followed by a scale model of a white horse with knight and jousting pole. I beleive after that we are auctioning a collection of swords, one by one. Like a gold one, a silver one ect ect.

The dwarf goes to open his mouth as if to bid again, but slumps back into his chair, and crosses his arms angrily.

"That's a stupid price for a house, you can keep it. I'm proud, but not stupid", says the lady.
OOC: OK, I was offering the highest bidder for almost a day without any response and you didn't let me win the auction. And if people with innumerable amount of money keeps bidding so high prices for that kind of goods I'm out of this auction, it don't make any sense to me, I could place a ridicolous price for everything too, but that's not the idea of a realistic, good RP.

Yeah, I understand this but you know how it is with time differences and such, so with a low price I let it run for a day and kept bumping it to get a few more people in. I'm sorry if you dont like this, but its the way it works.
And if people with innumerable amount of money keeps bidding so high prices for that kind of goods I'm out of this auction
Its my job as an auctioneer to let the price go as high as it will, but I do have my limits. For each lot I have a number in my head which is where I would stop the auction and sell. For this lot it was £200 Million, anyone offering that would be declared the winner.
I could place a ridicolous price for everything too, but that's not the idea of a realistic, good RP.
I know, but the thing is this isnt unrealistic when you see the prices some things have sold for on other auctions, such as nation auctions and such. into the Hundred Trillion Billions I think. I wont let it go that far, but since I am taking all the profits from this thing, I let it run toa reasonable price.

Considering how rarely we use them outside of our own borders, I'm sure that they would be worth a great deal to collectors."
-The dwarf stood up, and shook himself, much to the disgust of other bidders that were closeby, who got slightly wet. He then marched off towards the toilets..
The man curled his lip slightly. "Oh my, I am most terribly sorry."
He then turned to the others. "Will there be any more bids? Or can I have the crown now."
