Scientists Announce EMP Breakthrough

02-01-2003, 05:25
Enhansa, OSTRACIS -- Federation scientists from MaxTech Industries (NYSE: MXTI) have announced a breakthrough in electro-magnetic pulse technology. Speaking from his laboratory inside the MaxTech research facility on the southern island of Ostracis, Doctor Phillip Galssen offered some comments on his team's efforts.

"Prior to our work on EMP, the effect could only be replicated consistently with a nuclear blast," Dr. Galssen explained. "But now we have side-stepped that singularly destructive phase and managed to couple multiple EMPs with a ULF standing wave to produce brilliant results each and every time."

True to the Federation's "modus operandi," the technology is expected to be on sale as soon as it has been perfected. All that remains to be seen is which nation has the deepest pockets and the greatest desire to obtain such knowledge.

The International Aero space organization will pay you 2.8 billion credits for exclusive patent rights.

We have a similar device in development using a compresion feeback generator to produce the intense em wave - but ours leave a residual electrical back charge in electrical circuits that can destroy computers and fuse electrical lines.

we know how destructive such a weapon can be if it falls into the wrong hands so we are making you an offer for the exclusive rights to its technology. Or we will pay you to cease development of your device.

if 2.8billion is not suficient for your needs - you may name your price within reason - we could even trade a valuable technology from our extensive and advanced cache - send me a telegram if you are interested in what we outfit our rapid deployment forces with.

The Dominion of Kaliper would like to advise against selling this potentially earth shattering technology on the open market. We would request a strenuous screening process for potential buyers. Please note we have no interest in this technology itself nor any plans to develop it ourselves and cut into your profits, only to preserve our electronic archives and oter datum. Please consider this request.

The Empire of Niflheim feels that with the development of such a possibly destructive weapon, that the UN should become involved immediately, and ensure that it is not distributed on the black market. Also to prevent godmodding.

Sincerely,
Emperor Fenrir

Nobody is selling anything here - both labs were accidentally destroyed in mysterious explosions last week and all data on the developing technology has been lost and the scientist and technical personel involved are dead.

It was, tragic.
